This is good news? I guess so. (IN other words 60,000 deaths of Americans is good?) But, think about this for a moment. 50,000 is the amount of boys and girls we lost in the Viet Nam War and 2700 plus is the amount we lost in the World Trade Center on 9-11.
And in the Korean War we lost 30,000 boys and girls in the military then too.
So, by itself this is the biggest loss of life of it's kind since World war II by comparison where we lost up to 1 million people. But, Russia lost 20 million people all by itself mostly to starvation when Hitler invaded Russia. So, the total amount of people lost in World war II is likely 75 to 100 million people.
Also, just remember Europeans from 500 BC until the 20th century lost between 500 million and 1 billion people from all the pandemics in Europe during this 2500 year period.
So, pandemics kill a whole lot of people. And it hasn't really hit the 3rd world that hard yet which it might not this summer but might hit really hard in the next fall and winter. But, it could be like that here too in the U.S. and Canada. So, the cascading crises from all of this continues in the U.S., in China in Europe and eventually in all 3rd world nations as well.
One thing that might be helpful to know.
Many many more people die in pandemics than ever die in wars historically. And this likely will be true worldwide from this pandemic too.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
