These next two weeks likely are the peak time for New York City: However:

This is not the peak time necessarily for anyplace else including other cities in New York State necessarily or any of the surrounding states either. Each area and each state and each locality will peak at different times depending upon how the virus moves through people in that area.

So, don't be lulled into complacency because this is ONLY the peak Time for New York City not likely where you live. But, since 40% of the cases right now are there it will be nice maybe in 2 or 3 weeks when the number of dying and dead there begin to reduce because of the dropping numbers of cases now there specifically.

But, even then it doesn't mean all people will stop dying of coronavirus there either. This thing comes in waves. So, New York City will likely start to recover from the first wave in about 3 weeks or so. But, there still will be a 2nd wave and a 3rd wave and maybe even a 4th wave there and other places too but they should be smaller amounts of dead people than this first wave: (Hopefully).

But, the other alternative is what happened in 1918 when just a few people were dying now and then 100,000 people died just in October of 1918 here in the U.S.. But, it started about the same time of year that this started in February or March of 1918 with not many deaths until the fall. So, it might in New York City be okay until the fall after the first wave passes? Unknown at this time.
