Deaths per day in U.S. starting April 7th 2020
April 7th 1,909
April 8th 1,922
April 9th. 1,867
April 10th 2,074
April 11th 1,846
April 12th 1,475

And this does not include anyone who wasn't tested and just decided rightly or wrongly to die at home alone or with loved ones.
For example, a week ago alone at least 230 people in New York City died in their homes there likely of Coronavirus in addition to the normal amount of people around 25 to 30 a day that die there of natural causes always on a daily basis ongoing in their homes.
One point here that might not be obvious to you:
If you lose 1000 people a day for 30 days that's 30,000 people lost.
