"Based on the most recent flu pandemics, this outbreak will likely last 18 to 24 months."
Most people don't want to hear this worldwide but this might be the most important thing that people need to know about Covid-19. Because it is just beginning. And likely we haven't seen anything yet compared to what will come in the fall and winter in the northern hemisphere if what happened in Fall and winter of 1918 is any indication.
Remember, in October 1918 100,000 Americans died in a single month and by the time this was over 675,000 Americans and 50 to 100 million people around the world were dead which was 3 to 5% of the world's population then in 1918 and 1919.
Since U.S. population is approximately 3 times what it was then in 1918 should we expect 3 times as many to die in October?
I'm not sure for a variety of reasons.
One thing I can say is the Boy Scout Motto: "Be Prepared"
For Anything.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
