Hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones are becoming stronger, according to study
end quote.
This agrees with what I have seen looking into the future of this century and the next. More heat in the oceans creates more heat caused updrafts which cause more wind. Because when heat rises it causes winds in addition to the prevailing winds caused by the spinning planet as the planet moves under the winds and makes them appear to move. It would be like if you poured water onto a surface and then moved the surface the water would appear to move but it is really the surface moving in the situation. Then you add to this the heat going up. When heat makes air rise air has to replace the air going up from the heat. This also creates winds. So, these are the two basic dynamics that create wind.
Then you add to this water surfaces effects on the wind and mountains and canyons and land masses effects on the winds and buildings and cities and farmlands and deserts effects on the winds etc. to come up with wha wind actually does on an every day basis. So, you sort of need a computer to figure out all these variables on an every day basis in order to come up with weather predictions that model the next few days or weeks at all anywhere.
However, the 8% a decade increase of Hurricanes and tornadoes and all wind in weather anywhere on the planet seems about right to me.
I think it might be important to realize that 50 years would bring a 40% more lethal change to hurricanes and other weather by the way. So, I think more and more as houses are destroyed by weather of various kinds people will use reinforced cement more to build homes at least partially underground in the future more.
For example, you could use a back hoe and put your first floor underground made of reinforced concrete like a basement and then build a wood home on top of this so you would have somewhere to live when your house is destroyed by a hurricane or tornado in future years. But, you also have to build this reinforced concrete basement so it can't flood somehow too. This would be important. One way to do this is to leave a part of your entrance to the basement at least 7 feet above the ground with a way to lock out the water to your basement.
Mobile homes will just become more and more deathtraps especially in hurricane or tornado prone areas unless people seek shelter somewhere reinforced during the bad times in more than a mobile home.
So, 50 years from now this means that hurricanes will be 40% worse than now which means almost 1 1/2 times as bad as they are now.
If you watch the news regarding the amounts of deaths from hurricanes and tornadoes on an yearly basis you can see that the 8% increase per decade is about right. So, this would also mean about a 1% increase in deadliness every year from now on.
For example, in 2100 since it is now 2020 it would be 80 years from now which means 8 decades which would be hurricanes would be 64% more deadly than now worldwide.
