Even world war II which ended 3 years before I was born didn't encompass as much of the world as this pandemic has so far. There is no country or continent on earth that isn't experiencing the wrath of this virus and pandemic in some form right now.
It is creating a health care and economic world disaster unequaled in modern times.
The real problem as I see it is this. For every 1 death from coronavirus you are likely going to see 10 deaths from starvation by next winter worldwide as food supply chains break down one by one.
We are already seeing this in the U.S. in regard to meat processing plants. Trump might demand they stay open but we live in free country where people cannot be forced to work if they think they will die. It is likely that in the end Trump might have to mobilize the National Guard or Army to do this because there is no real way to do this otherwise at this point.
The other solution is people will either have to slaughter their own meat or become vegetarians or have a greatly reduced meat diet or all of the above depending upon the person. And this will extend to all countries likely by this winter too not just the U.S.
We might even see Army or national guard planting and raising food in farms and also working in slaughter houses and meat packing plants by this time next year simply because we are a free country and you cannot force people who are free to die unless they are in the national guard or army to begin with. So, the whole food supply chain might have to be manned to a greater or lesser degree by National Guard and Army personnel worldwide by next year this time.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
