My youngest daughter shared with me about Reactistan. These people who are likely in Pakistan or Afghanistan are reacting to tasting and eating Mexican food. I had this kind of experience of meeting people a lot like this especially out in the country in India and Nepal where they see things very differently than anyone in North, South or Central America. So, often ANY assumptions you have when you meet people are wrong until you get the culture more after a few weeks of being there if you have that long to be there.
Mostly, it's kind of funny the reactions people have but it's nice that they seem really sincere and trying to be helpful in sharing their experiences and ideas about everything.
So, it's a way to experience how others view reality around food which might be very different than how you see everything regarding food here in the U.S. or North or South America.
