Growing up I was taught how everything worked

So, by the time I was 12 years old I understood how everything worked from an engineering standpoint, even nuclear weapons and rocket ships. With this kind of knowledge it created a philosophy in me where I understood everything from a theoretical and mechanical level and allowed me to work on Cars and Trucks, and to drive cars and trucks and to pilot planes and to engineer and design computer programs, and houses and to repair whatever vehicle I was riding in at the time.

This is what it was like for me to grow up in the 1950s where fathers took it upon themselves to teach their children about the world and how it all worked.

My father and grandfather were electricians and both became Electrical Contractors too. They both thought Nicola Tesla was the most amazing man they ever heard of because of his inventing Alternating Current, (which still powers most of the world about 120 years or more later by the way, fluorescent lighting etc.

So, having a grasp of where each country was located on earth and having a grasp of how all engines were built and operated whether they were in cars or trucks or planes or locomotives or rocket ships or nuclear weapons or any kind of weapon prepared me for the world I was growing up in.

Sometimes I feel that many or most people are lost without a rudder because they might not understand any of these things that actually allow us to live the lives we do.

If no one properly understands the technology it soon will be lost. So, teaching children to understand exactly how we got here to where we are helps our civilization continue and move forward ongoing for potentially millions of years into the future here on earth and beyond.

By God's Grace
