I don't think you could completely stop them but you could slow them down through human birth control by limiting people to two children each worldwide and by stopping the extinction of species here on earth.
As long as the 6th Great Extinction continues you are going to have pandemic after pandemic after pandemic ongoing.
But, if you find a way to stop the extinctions of species you also might save human beings from extinction as well.
It is possible to have a pandemic that wipes out 95% of mankind because these have existed before where 95% of the people died out in places like Europe. So, 95% of the genetics were wiped out too. And then only those with immunities lived to breed after that.
This is one reason why whites from Europe came to the U.S. in the 1600s and the trappers who went ahead of settlers carried diseases that wiped out 90% of native Americans in the U.S.
