Would I have survived what happened to me between the ages of 10 and 15 if I didn't believe in God?
Probably not.
Though I wasn't on a path to believe in God and was on a path mostly to just believe in Science by age 9 I had to survive Blunt Trauma childhood epilepsy which without believing in God (especially from ages 12 to 15 I likely wouldn't have survived all this.
Part of it is when you are going through something particularly horrific to deal with like being a teenager combined with a horrific physical illness you need something to get you through all this.
And in the 1950s and early 1960s there were no useful medicines and likely even if there were my father wouldn't have allowed me to take them just like he forbade me to take phenobarbital which is an awful drug anyway.
So, believing in God was all I had to survive all this in the end.
So, for me, believing in God was the best medicine I had which worked for me and still does.
By God's Grace
PS I still believe in Science and I still believe in God to this day over 60 years later.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
