If you are traveling to the U.S. and Canada from the European Union or Asia

When you visit the National parks of the respective Countries it is very important to know that the animals there are wild (as in Wild West wild). They are not tame at all.

What you might find strange is that it is not Grizzly Bears that kill the most tourists in National Parks, it is Buffalo. You need to stay away from the Bulls completely because they will kill you in a few seconds if you are not careful. They will butt you with their heads and knock you down and then trample you with their front hooves and smash your face or chest. This only takes a second or two and then you are dead by the way.

Another thing regarding Asian people is that often deer in deer parks in Asia are mostly tame. They might bite you if you don't feed them but they won't kill you.

Here in the U.S. deer are a different story. Deer are dangerous here if you corner them.

There is a true story I'd like to tell you to protect you and your children.

This happened in Yosemite National Park. This is a true story.

Someone saw a deer standing there and decided to put their child on the deer's back for a photo. The deer threw the child off and killed it while the parents watched.

All animals in the U.S. are wild and if you don't respect this they will kill or maim you.

For example, at night raccoons sometimes attack small dogs as families of raccoons much like monkeys will attack for food too in Asia. I have seen this in India for example. And if are a woman or older lady trying to protect your poodle or other small dog likely you will be in the hospital and your dog may or may not survive this. So, walking your dog in any suburban area in places like California isn't really a great idea after dark for this reason. Raccoons are nocturnal and hunt for food at night.

So, beware of wild animals here in the U.S. and Canada and beware the most of male Buffaloes. Grizzlies can be dangerous if you approach them it's true but more people are killed by Buffalo than by any other animal here in the U.S.

There is a funny story (only funny because he survived doing this) a friend of mine told me.

He said he was reading "Black Elk Speaks" the book. And he read about a man crawling into the middle of a buffalo herd. So, my friend did this. But then he realized all the buffalo were watching him and got scared and crawled back out of the herd.

Later he finished reading the book and found out the man who did this was killed by the buffalo. My friend realized he was extremely lucky that he hadn't died. He was very young then and likely under 21 years of age but still he was very lucky not to have been killed by the herd.
