So, at this point Santa Barbara likely has the best year around weather of any place I have personally been on earth if you like the 65 to 75 degree range of weather. Can it get 100 or more in Santa Barbara? Yes. But only a few days (if that) a year.
And the lowest temperature in Santa Barbara tends to be around 40 degrees in January or February which means it is nice year around there. And even that is the Night time low temperature not a day time high. My son's wife from South Korea says it is the nicest place she has been so far in the U.S. and my son in law from Europe says Santa Barbara is the best he has seen so far too here in the U.S.
Oprah has a $126 million dollar home there and so do many other Hollywood entertainers because Hollywood and all the Studios are all within a 2 hour drive so accessible on any given day.
Also, check out the local humidity at 52% which is pretty good and not in the 80 to 99% range which can be difficult like it would be in Hawaii on all islands this time of year generally speaking. One reason Hawaii tends to be humid is it rains about an hour most places every day.
