It's going to take at least a week after the election to know who won

 Why?

Because Trump voters are the ones mostly who plan to vote by ballot at polling places whereas Democrats will vote by mail instead. So, election night it will appear that Trump won even though he didn't because of this. So, we have to be patient to wait at least a week to see that Biden actually won instead of Trump.
