Learning compassion for yourself and others will help you stay sane and alive through all of this. Learning HOW to have compassion for others is important too.
Part of learning compassion is learning Self Awareness. In Buddhism taking personal responsibility for all your actions is very important.
When you blame everyone else for everything in your life this is very childish and not useful unless you are actually a child.
Because at some point you have to take personal responsibility for everything you do or everything that happens to you or you remain a child in an adult body the entire rest of your life.
Without personal responsibility there can be NO integrity. Without personal responsibility there can be no real compassion.
Unless you have compassion for yourself often self destructiveness or even suicide is the direct result.
So, having compassion for yourself and others is the key to longevity for everyone.
Otherwise people die young from attacking others and being killed or attacking themselves and self destructing through drugs or alcohol or just driving their car off a cliff or shooting themselves or something like that.
Unless you can forgive yourself for whatever you think you have done your life is basically over.
So, having compassion for yourself and others is necessary to begin to have integrity in your life always.
Compassion for yourselves and others is the first key to a long and happy life!
