What do you love?

For me, it was pretty simple. What I always loved was swimming in the ocean and in swimming pools and playing music and singing on the piano alone or with friends or my mother or buddies that I would jam with in my teens and early 20s. I loved to climb rocks and mountains and ski on my Dad's World war II bear trap binding skis where if you crash your ankles break when I was 10 to 15 years old form 1958 until around age 15 or 20. I loved Surfing and owned 2 surfboards at one point and my first car (a 1956 Blue and White Ford Station wagon that I bought for cash in 1964 when I was 16 for 800 dollars I called my surf wagon and the first time I ever french kissed a girl was in that car in a drive in movie when I was 16.

So, what did I love even then? I loved being around girls my age then too so I started dating at about age 15 then. But, people grew up faster then because they had to. I had friends who were married at 16 with a baby which is difficult to imagine now too. But then, it was much more normal for the times which would have been 1964.

The Great out of doors and playing music and riding my bicycles and then driving my car and motorized mini-bike that I bought at around age 12 that was a 2 1/2 horsepower mini-bike. Mine looked more like the blue one but this is what they looked like around 1960 to 1962. These things could go 30 mph and I drove mine around my high school while I was still going to junior high school when school was out.

One time the throttle stuck at 30 and I had to hit a chain link fence the the tennis courts at around 30 mph.

What I did was try to slow it down with my feet and brakes and then at the last moment so I didn't hit a chain link fence at 30 mph I pushed down hard with my feet and took the blow on my chest on the foam pad on the seat so I didn't die. Good times that I actually survived! Surfing and Scuba diving was kind of like this too from 12 to 18 or 20 too.

So, what do you love to do with your time?
How are you going to stay alive through all of this doing what you love?
Being innovative is how people survive a pandemic like this one.
