I learned about the "Leisure to Practice" around 1980 or so

In many parts of the world like Thailand young boys spend time as monks, then after they are grown and raise their families they become Thai Buddhist Monks again. So, it isn't uncommon in many cultures including our own for people to become prayerful when they are given the financial time in their lives to do this.

Every culture has people who pray for others who have to work all the time and children going to school.

It helps keep families and friends alive through whatever comes in life.

I had been praying for "The Leisure to practice" since around 1980 to 1983 around there once I realized it was a real thing that cultures often do in people's lives.

My prayer was answered in 1998 when I believed I was dying and angels came to me and said over and over again: "You aren't going to die! Your Life will get better now!" They kept saying this over and over in unison until every cell in my body believed them. A human mind might have difficulty with this but the cells in my body did not. So, because my cells all believed what they angels were saying I survived the next 9 months of my life until doctors told me I wasn't dying anymore and that I likely could live a relatively normal life (even though they encouraged me to stay retired) in order to facilitate me staying alive.

So, 23 years ago this fall I was forced to retire and given by God: "The Leisure to practice". So, I'm very surprised to still be alive but still as grateful as I was in May of 1999 when I was told I wasn't going to die anytime soon.

Note: However, at the time I believed I would be dead within 5 to 10 years then. However, in 2006 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which was likely caused by getting giardia in Nepal and India in 1985 and 1986.

So, here it is 23 years later now and I'm still alive and praying.
