This was the theme song then in 1967 of the Flower Children that began in San Francisco then. Teenagers 15 and over hitch hiked to San Francisco from all over the nation and world to be a part of the Flower children movement there. There was a lot of idealism but much good and bad came into people's lives through this movement as with all movements. It was not a panacea that many young people thought it was. However, it had lasting effects upon the world. Likely the best thing was it united the nations in friendship and love and took the world away from the paranoia of the 1930s through the 1950s. It helped prevent nuclear war permanently destroying the world to the point where it could not be prevented retroactively through time travel. This was the original recording done by Scott McKenzie in 1967
One note on this recording says: "There'll be a loving there" but the actual lyrics were "There'll be a Love In there" which is a different thing entirely that just a loving.
A Love In is where everyone hugs each other and blisses out on the love of everyone for everyone.
I remember going to parties with college students in 1969 and 1970 and to be "With it" it would be necessary to greet everyone and hug everyone there. Sometimes this was a nice experience especially if you were hugging a really beautiful woman but sometimes that person hadn't bathed recently. It didn't matter if the person was male or female. Everyone hugged everyone. This was what it was like in California on the coast even in Southern California if you were college age then from about 1968 through the 1970s. And because of the birth control pill casual sex was common then too because AIDS and Herpes didn't take off until the late 1970s and early 1980s here in the U.S.
