We are NOT in normal times so why do we expect NORMAL results?

Judging Biden because there aren't enough people going back to work doesn't make any sense to me because we are just not in normal times.

Presently we are losing more people worldwide than we did during the height of World War II. Things are not normal in the world and to pretend they are is dangerous to those of us who will survive all this into the future.

When I study what is happening in India where 8 million people per day are now getting coronavirus?

Where does this factor into how we are doing things here in the U.S.

The better question might be: "When do we have whole non-vaccinated families here in the U.S. going to the hospital and sometimes dying together from the India variants?"

This is a much more relevant question to the problems the world faces right now.

Here is another question: "Will the human race and civilization itself survive the present pandemic given the variants arising that might not be stopped by vaccinations?"

Just because things are better right now for the U.S. people might think we are out of the woods. But that just isn't true as long as newer variants keep arising worldwide that may or may not be put down by the present vaccinations.

There are just too many unknowns and to get all "pie in the sky" is just too soon for any nation including the U.S. right now.

It's quite possible we are at only the beginning of dealing with Covid Variants and not at the end at all.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't still dealing with this in 2100 AD with only 1 billion of us left here on earth from Covid Variants and Global Climate Change.

I'm not sure the reality of the world right now has sunk into the minds of most people on earth.

I'm not sure it will before it's too late  at this point either.

People talk about returning to Normal. I'm not sure what normal actually is. Have any of you studied history of the last few hundred years?

If you have you would conclude that wars are normal. Hundreds of thousands of people dying of pandemics and plagues is normal. Droughts and floods are normal and whole countries being done away with by rival countries is normal too.

So, the normal that you speak of might be gone that we knew from World War II until 2019. Trying to return there is nice but maybe not realistic now or ever. We just don't know yet.

The last pandemic which was the Spanish Flu killed 50 to 100 million people and also killed the U.S. president at the time. when he got sick in Europe it helped cause Hitler and World War II by the way because he couldn't create a better outcome for Germany than the revenge filled outcome that came from Europeans at the time. 600,000 people in the U.S. died of the Spanish flu then between 1918 and 1920.

However, this present covid set of Variations might not stop like the Spanish Flu did because it has too much in common with the Common Flu and Cold which is always changing. And this capacity to always change might be fatal for the human race this century too. We don't know at this time. This is the real problem, the unknowns.
