We are talking about being mask free even in the White House and Congress while variants spin out of control in South America and Asia killing thousands maybe even millions there. Doesn't anyone else think this is strange?
Because what happens when aggressive variants that are putting whole families in the hospital together in places like India come to the U.S.?
Will whole unvaccinated families go to the hospital then too together here in the U.S.? And how many of them will die too?
That these variants make it to the U.S. is a foregone conclusion. The ONLY real question is when?
So, what's with having people take off their masks?
This doesn't make sense to me given what is happening in the rest of the world!
It's true we all want to be free of our masks but what happens when these variants from Asia and South America start hitting people here not vaccinated and children start dying here too like they already are other places from the variants?
I still wear a mask at the gas station or indoors anywhere but my own home. I still won't go and eat inside a restaurant but I will order takeout. I won't go to movies or concerts indoors. I won't fly on planes still but in the fall I might fly to Hawaii with my wife and friends if the South American and Asian Variants aren't killing too many people here in the U.S. by then.
I think this is the right decision for now. I think the CDC is making a mistake having everyone take off their masks. It's only going to bite us all in the ass when these variants show up here in the U.S. and start killing all our unvaccinated people here in the U.S.!
Unless you live alone in a cabin in the remote woods and almost never leave there this isn't over by a long shot worldwide!
