Because people don't want to die because of some stupid job that doesn't care whether the live or die and doesn't pay them enough to risk their lives for because of Covid.

This is why supply chains are collapsing worldwide. This is likely to increase during the next year worldwide as Shipping companies in charge of ships lose most or all of their employees because for example, merchant Marine Sailors are not allowed to leave their ships in the U.S. ever now if they are not from the U.S. So, this means people from the Philippines and Malaysia and Thailand and China if they travel to the U.S. on a shipping container ship might be sea bound on their ship for up to 1 years time. No wonder people are quitting those jobs within the year. And people who don't want to be exposed to Covid in Restaurant or working in stores indoors are also waving goodbye to those jobs that might kill them through Covid too. Anywhere you have to work indoors now is a job no one wants to work at unless they are working over Zoom from home. And this is worldwide now.
