I called my daughter to see if she is still in the smoke from the Alisal Fire last night

 She said (because she lives in Santa Barbara) that the air is clear again. I had heard that 101 opened up at 6 pm on Thursday night so since then they likely put the fire out and so the smoke stopped at some point between then and last night (Friday night).

However, when I checked the news the fire is not out the wind direction just changed:
