The Biggest Risk appears to be about from the Santa Cruz Mountains and north to Oregon

But, if you are in the City of Santa Cruz or anywhere north of there and there is a fire that has been above where you live since around 2018 it could get very serious sort of like what happened in Montecito, California near Santa Barbara. So, if you don't feel safe for the next few days it might be important to either get a hotel room in another location or stay with friends if they don't live below a big burn scar. The Ground many places north of San Francisco might already be saturated even before the Bomb Cyclone or Atmospheric river hits where you are. So, this is something important to think about too. Weather people are saying the force of this Bomb Cyclone is equal to a large Hurricane hitting Northern California and Oregon within the next 24 to 36 hours time. So, be prepared for anything if you are in the track of the storm.

Here is what happened on January 9th 2018 in Montecito, California below a big burn scar in the coastal foothills there.

Flash floods and mudslides took at least 13 lives in Montecito, an unincorporated coastal area of about 9000 residents just east of Santa Barbara.
