I think the point must be to let governments know on earth that it exists as a way to join mankind together to fight for their mutual survival together rather than creating wars against nations one against the other.
The only way ANYONE survives this century who is human is all humanity working together for the common good. Otherwise, everyone goes extinct by 2100Ad.
