1862 california flood was after another megadrought

I'm not saying that this is going to happen soon but the conditions mirror in some ways what happened just before the ARK Flood that covered California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and possibly Utah in 1862.

The Capitol had to be moved by boat from Sacramento to San Francisco because San Francisco is mountainous and not affected directly by standing water but Sacramento was underwater for about 6 months time in 1862 and the Sacramento River was 20 miles wide (which would be like looking out to sea from Palos Verdes or Long Beach towards Catalina Island which is 26 miles across the ocean there.

It's important to understand that historically these biblical floods inundate California every 150 to 300 to 500 years historically going back thousands of years. It is one of the reason I believe no one had ever built cities in California before the 1800s or if they did they were washed away (every 150 to 300 to 500 years historically). If you study native American Legends they speak of having to go up into mountains away from the plains and rivers in order to survive those times historically. But, if you are nomadic you can move away from the rivers and plains and survive a flood like these ones.

California went from a cattle state before 1862 to a farming state because most cattle and sheep washed out to sea on the sacramento River when it was 20 miles wide.
