She wound up spending the night in the hospital because of this. I had told her that she shouldn't unload the car because we were at over 6000 feet in altitude. But, she didn't listen to me and wound up spending the night in a nearby hospital. My youngest daughter walked up to a fireman and told him her mother couldn't breathe from the fire that was next to where we were staying then. So, he gave her oxygen from his fire truck and sent for an ambulance for her. She was okay after spending the night on oxygen though.
So, if you live at sea level don't go to somewhere like Lake Tahoe at altitude if there is a fire or the same or worse might happen to you. Once you pass out from smoke inhalation if there is no one to rescue you often your life is over.
