This is supposed to be the last small storm for a week or two (at the least) so likely it is the last storm of January here on the Northern Coast of California. President Biden flies into Moffet Field in Air Force 1 I believe tomorrow to oversee the storm disaster in several counties here in California. I think 6 or 7 counties including Santa Cruz County and Monterey County and Sacramento County and a few others have been declared disaster areas from Flooding. There is also supposed to be coastal flooding from King High Tides on the 21st and 22nd of January too which likely will cause more coastal flooding so hopefully the amount of rain coming down rivers isn't too great then or else things could be bad for coastal communities then too.
I think President Biden is mostly going to oversee Capitola where many businesses were hit pretty hard, even though flooding anywhere there is a river has been pretty bad all over the northern California coast. However, 101 appears to be open still even though a day or two ago a big Eucalyptus tree fell across the southbound lanes in Greenfield and several cars hit it before people signaled the people behind them to slow down for a falling tree across Highway 101 which is a freeway a lot like Interstate 5 that connects coastal cities like Salinas to Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria and Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. But, most roads are still open even though the road to Big Sur is closed at some point (Highway 1) and another road to close down from landslides is Highway 140 into Yosemite. However, I think Highway 41 going out through Fresno that way is still open From Yosemite Valley so there is at least one road out of Yosemite Valley and Badger Pass at least at the time of this writing. This is important because the Tuolumne Meadows Route is always closed this time of year because of Snow like it is covered with now.
