Gun violence in California?

The main reason there are still assault weapons in California of various kinds whether they are submachine guns like the Tech 9 submachine pistol used in Monterey Park or other assault weapons used other places is that even though these kinds of assault weapons are banned completely in California you can still go to neighboring states like Nevada or Arizona and buy Assault weapons and at state border crossings at least they are only interested that you don't bring in certain fruits or vegetables so they don't ask you whether you are bringing assault weapons over the state line.

Also, you don't even have to go to Arizona or Nevada to buy and Assault weapon you can instead just order parts online that can be shipped to you one piece at a time which is still legal to do. You just cannot purchase a completely assembled assault weapon here in California but you can still order parts individually and assemble them yourselves.

So, this is why we still have mass killings here in California using various automatic or semi-automatic assault weapons.

We also have a problem with Ghost Guns with no serial numbers at all from people manufacturing guns at home with kits of various kinds as well.  One was found nearby where I live this week by police searching a home. They also found an  assault weapon there during this search.
