I Want you to BE FREE

I Want you to BE FREE. I do not write ever to scare you with the truth, although I suppose that could happen with my wild compassionate style of writing. I write like I survived my young adulthood in the 1960s and 1970s, wild and free.

I want you to be free wherever you are on earth. Being born in America like me does not make one free. Would you really call Britney Spears free even with all her millions? No, free is a state of consciousness. One could just as easily be FREE in solitary confinement in Prison anywhere on earth. Or one could have millions of dollars at their disposal and be the most miserable person on earth. You may not have seen this first hand. I have and it is pretty miserable. I probably know over 100 or more people worth 1 million dollars or more and only about 1 out of 10 are even remotely happy. In order to stay wealthy they have to spend up to 4 hours a day figuring out ways not to lose their wealth once they have acquired it. Otherwise "a fool and his money are soon parted". And that's Life! So if you are wealthy and don't worry about how to keep it and continue growing it you are very soon parted with it. That's life.

Unfortunately, that is also why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer worldwide because generally the poor think being wealthy is a panacea which it never is. So if the poor get wealthy they tend to blow it within 1 or 2 years unless they learn how to both protect their money and how to grow it in conservative long term ways.

So, once again Freedom is not about physical wealth it is about spiritual wealth and wisdom. And wherever there is spiritual wealth or wisdom, wealth naturally flows there eventually.

By sharing with you what I have found is possible as a truly free being I help you become truly free in all ways and that also helps prevent the extinction of humankind on earth. Even though most animals, fish and birds will go extinct, it might behoove scientists of the world to freeze fertilized ovums or eggs of all these species until these species could be brought to life again in a zoo like environment or at a university or universities worldwide. Otherwise, the loss to mankind of thousands and millions of species of plants, animals, insects, sea life, birds etc. will be complete much like when the dinosaurs went extinct.

In fact, scientists are beginning to call the era from about 10,000 BC on into the future the Anthropocene era because of the massive die off of thousands of species during this era.

If you and I are free, really free we can change the human race's march toward extinction by one way or another. I believe that there are humanoid ancestors of ours throughout this and many other galaxies. There may even be humans who have left earth with the same Dna basically as ours during the time of Atlantis or Lemuria or Mu as it is believed space travel is not new to earth then or now.

So your freedom both as a being and as a body on earth are vital to stop the ongoing extinction not only of all species on earth but to stop the ongoing extinction of the human race now in progress on earth.

God Created Us so We could Create Him

God Created Us so We could Create Him. begin quote:"The very study of the physical world leads to the conclusion that the concept of consciousness is an ultimate reality and, all the possible knowledge, concerning objects can be given as its wave function."

http://hinduism.about.com/library/weekly/aa072101a.htm

begin quote: Sharma's Formula
In the light of the above discussion, Prof Sharma has put forward a formula, wherein consciousness is represented by a symbol , which is a set of concepts of knowledge. In the normal state of consciousness, an individual human mind or a conscious system is capable of the finite set of concepts of knowledge I, i.e.,

Note since the formula didn't copy because some symbols don't exist on my keyboard
here is a version: (concepts of knowledge)n=I

which he defines as Ego, soul, Atman or Karan Sharir.

However, the field of the non-physical entity of consciousness can be expanded to infinity, so as to cognize the total infinite set of concepts of knowledge G, i.e.,

(concepts of knowledge)n=G

which he variously defines as God, Parmathma or Brahma.

Yoga & Meditation
Prof Sharma points out that consciousness is endowed with autonomous will power, and the techniques of Yoga and meditation must be considered as the methods of realization of the self and the development of the will power (Sankalpa Shakti) for the expansion of the field of consciousness .

Bridging the Gap
Sharma quotes Prof Wigner — "The very study of the physical world leads to the conclusion that the concept of consciousness is an ultimate reality and, all the possible knowledge, concerning objects can be given as its wave function" — and concludes that the gap between Vedic and scientific systems of knowledge has been considerably reduced and scientists have started realizing the necessity of integration of consciousness with the conceptual structure of science.endquote

My personal experience with this made a profound quantum jump during the 1980s. Even though during the 1970s I soul travelled all over this galaxy and after overcoming my complete terror of my experience when I soul travelled out beyond the galaxy and into the void for the first time. However, after I met a tibetan lama who understood the void I could then travel to hundreds and eventually thousands of other galaxies.

However, the single most profound moment I ever experienced was when I experienced complete acceptance and full membership into the Infinite array of compassionate beings of all Galaxies and dimensions. My first experience of this was horror for about 5 to 20 hours until I realized that with this unification there would never be anything to fear ever again. Since this moment I became infinitely more valuable to all beings in the universe including you. To become fearless on a soul level is the single most valuable thing I have ever experienced besides the Bliss of Eternal peace at a soul level. The universe is way beyond what most beings could ever imagine.

Vedic Science of Consciousness

Vedic Science of Consciousness. The following quote is from this webpage:

http://hinduism.about.com/library/weekly/aa072101a.htm

Begin quote: Professor Ashok Sharma, a former Indian professor of Applied Physics, who was also a scientist at Harvard University, has formulated some path-breaking theories and postulations based on the ancient Vedic Sciences that give us some powerful insights into the gray regions of the human mind, and help us understand our consciousness.

Even after treading for long in the realm of science, Prof Sharma feels that science fails to understand consciousness as an independent entity. He says, "Science cannot integrate a non-physical entity, like consciousness, into its conceptual framework, and views human personality as a non-conscious physical system."

What is Consciousness?
Consciousness, according to Prof Sharma, is a non-physical entity, which is essentially different from the four basic entities of space, time, energy and matter of the conventional science. Consciousness does not have any physical attribute or property or action, but is endowed with autonomous will power of creation, retention and annihilation of the knowledge of an individual or that of the universe.

Quoting the Upanishads (Shvetashwar, 6/19), he says that consciousness itself is non-differentiable, inactive, placid, indescribable and non associative:

"Nirajanam Nishkriam Shantam Nirvadyam Niranjanam"

But again, consciousness manifests itself in the form of knowledge. endquote.

I was reading about the passing of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who sort of popularized the whole India thing through the beatles in the 1960s. The Vedic Science of Consciousness was the basis for Transcendental Meditation as I understand it. Yes, there were Yogis like Yogananda in Southern California who came to the U.S. 40 years earlier but he and others didn't seem to venture that much out of places like California or New York City or Chicago until the Beatles and the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi popularized these kinds of thinking throughout the western world.

For Writers

For Writers. If you have read a lot of my blogs or online books you have probably noticed that I hate to edit. No, it's beyond that I detest it. I suppose it is a lot like watching your baby being born and then having to screw the kid completely up by teaching him shit you really don't want to. I suppose it would be like taking a tiger out of the jungle and putting a tutu on him and making him do a ballet. It's very upsetting. I like primal stuff, shamanistic and caveman stuff but I also like kindness. So I'm for creating a kinder world without destroying its basic wildness. Quite a balancing act if I may say so. But I believe without our wildness as humans, we WILL go extinct. I've seen enough life by now to know this is a fact no matter what fairy tale people want to live in.

So, since I have been lucky enough to still have a lot of my primal abilities intact unlike many people, I try to share just how wonderful it is to still be primal yet kind. In other words I believe in being as kind as one can be and still survive quite well here on earth. If people choose to be poor then that's alright with me but that is not my choice as long as I have a choice and I do.

So, my gift to the world I believe is my philosophy of wildness, primalness and yet kindness toward all beings in the universe. This does not mean I don't believe in self defense. On the contrary, being 6 foot 5 inches people tend to get out of the way for me a lot. So I dampen my personality down so I don't come off the full Tiger(or Dragon) that I naturally am so people don't crap their pants when they meet someone 6 foot 5 inches tall with size 15 shoes.

My basic primal yet kind philosophy extends to my writing. While I grew up I loved writers, like Hugh Lofting then Heinlein, then Asimov then Clarke, Silverburg and others. Yes, I gravitated toward Science fiction but mostly toward science fiction written by Scientists like Asimov. That is why I always liked Gene Roddenbury because he always wrote based upon Theoretical science and physics. So many of his works emulate our future. I too, like to write in this direction.

For me, my life experience as a world traveler who has been to places like Europe and Asia and even to the Himalayas up to 50 miles from the nearest dirt road and staying in Sherpa homes where a fire is built in the living room and the smoke goes out the eves while it is snowing outside. And by the way the fire is for cooking not heating the house. I have met yogis who have just come out of the retreats of 17 years and watched their glow of awareness at a level that most of us can only imagine. I witness ed personally Ling Rinpoche sitting on a table (in teaching mudra) having not eaten or moved for 2 years while still not decomposing and with awareness still projecting from his body in February 1986.(This incident brought me to tears it so completely altered my world paradigm). Because I have been blessed with these experiences that are so completely different than the average person is EVER exposed to I feel a moral obligation to share that the American world view is in the end a very small one compared to what humans are actually capable of.

I guess as a writer and as a blogger that is what I'm trying to say,"People and beings everywhere, open your mind, open your eyes, the universe is trillions of times more amazing than you have even started to imagine!"

Family Traditions

Family Traditions. Family traditions that go back a long ways play a part in most of our lives. For example, my great Grandfather fought in the Civil War. In fact, my father's father's side fought as a captain for the north and my father's mothers side fought for the south and was related to General Bullard.

After the civil war my great grandfather settled in Kansas and started a Drug store and at that time got most of his herbal medicines from local Indian medicine men and all these herbal remedies were gathered by indians he hired to gather them from the reservations. As time went one things changed but my Great Grandfather's drugstore ran under his supervision until the 1920's when he sold it and retired.

My grandfather was one of about 5 kids and was a baseball player who was nicknamed "Pinky" because of his red hair. He was a very tall, wirey, very strong and intense person, who as my father would say could "fight off about 10 men if they rubbed him the wrong way". In other words my grandfather was one of these "Never say die" kind of people that you either made friends with, left them alone, or ran. There really wasn't another option. His favorite hobbies were: Bear hunting, elk hunting, deer hunting and being alone in the wilderness for a winter at a time running a trap line. The wilderness was his religion and he tended to look upon people who went to church as mental and emotional weaklings. I think he was born about 1880. He passed away when I was about 22 in 1970. He had a mining claim in Idaho and a home where his wife lived in Seattle and spent 6 months a year in Idaho(spring, summer and early fall until the first snows) in Idaho on his 2000 acre mining claim that he had for 40 years. When the forest rangers tried to take away his claim when the laws changed around 1960 he shot one of their hats off with a 30 odd 6 rifle(basically a bolt action M1). They left him alone after that because they knew he was functioning according to the old cowboy value of the pre-1920s of "might makes right" of the old west. He died when a wheel bearing froze on his panel truck(now called a used Forest Service Van that he had purchased).

By the time my father grew up he had had enough mental, emotional and physical abuse so he decided to join a church to try something else. He was also mad at his dad because he wouldn't let him go to college even though he was a straight A student and in Junior high had gotten the highest grades in math and penmanship in the state of Washington. I remember being psychologically tortured by my father until I cried at about 8 or 9 years of age because I did not inherit my father's penmanship skills. I wasn't an artist( mostly because I had been left handed and forced to become right handed). The end result was that I am mostly ambidextrous now even though I continue to write with my right hand. However, my father had learned from his experience to never discipline me physically, only my mother was allowed to do that. This resulted in a very strange experience for me in that I am much more upset by what people say to me than I am if they actually hit me. I have found this tricky to deal with in my life.

What I most love about the family traditions that I was given and inherited is a very deep love of nature. Like my Grandfather my religion is the wilderness. I think it is because nature is real and I find most people in religions to be mostly self deluded like drug addicts tend to be. Therefore, when I deal with churchgoing people I'm as skeptical of them automatically as I am of obvious homeless alcoholics and drug addicts. Only the churchgoing people tend to be much worse because they tend to be so extremely self deluded that often they are a danger to both themselves and to society without knowing it. So I find them the scariest single segment of society for this. Ministers that molest women and children of all religions are just symptomatic regarding the truth of what I'm saying.

Relatives recently sent me a large box of photos that date back as far as 1900. Though many of the people and the meanings and relationship have since vanished, still I can recognize grandfather, grandmother, aunts and uncles and all their kids from birth on to the present. Since many of these photos I hadn't seen since I was about 4 years old with my father's mother(grandma) I saw them all in a completely new light since I am not 4 anymore but almost 60.

Coping

Coping. I don't think I'm alone on the world stage in feeling very troubled about Britney Spears next week or two. It takes me back to so many friends of mine in the 1960s who didn't make it either from drugs, breakups, car racing, rock climbing or you name it. I think most of us on one level or another can identify with Britney's descent in to hell at one point or other in their lives.

In college I can remember friends who told me things like, "Did you know I do mushrooms every three days?" or ten years later, "I did mushrooms every three days for ten years." or twenty years later, "I need a liver transplant." or 5 years later, "Oh, He's dead. He died in London. His kids miss him."

Strange thoughts like this bring me back strangely to Britney. Britney is a very sad case. She knows about singing, she knows how to make love and to make people happy. And now she knows how to have a baby-twice. She just has no idea at all what life is about or who she is. And there's the rub. No one survives very long if they don't know or have any idea at all what life is about or who they are. Life has a way of kicking our asses around the block about 10 times or killing us outright until we find out through the very HARD school of hard knocks. Will Britney survive? That is very debatable. she
might exist if she is kept on legal meds in a padded cell. But is that living? If they let her out will she survive now? Unlikely, given the state of things. What about her kids? Well, since she doesn't have any idea who she is at core maybe just maybe they are better off without her.

People with Finances in Order

People with Finances in Order are Free to give their time to God. Bet that isn't what you thought I was going to say? Is it? I was listening to a News video online about Christians listening to Christian Financial Counselors. I thought to myself, "It could be really good advice or really bad. It could go either way." One must first look not only at the real motivations of the speaker but also as to his or her practicality, pragmatism and education in regard to finance. Are they actually giving you good information or just self deluded like most people tend to be about finances?

If one, however, can get their finances in order, then they are truly free to give their lives to God. Now you might think this means going to a church or giving money to a church. For me, churches having nothing really to do with God at all. To me, they are mostly just social clubs much like Country Clubs. So why would I give money to a country club if I didn't go?

For me, God is a 24 hour a day experience and my church is wherever I happen to be. I wish all people were like me in this. When I'm awake I talk to God, I think about God and I even dream about God and talk to God in my dreams. I believe this is the way things should actually be. However, to each his own. And yes, I AM financially free to give my time to God and pray and manifest and to help whoever he sends to me for help.

Intuition by Jewel

Intuition by Jewel. I have always liked Jewel's poetry and lyrics. Though the way she sings this song is highly contrived for effect I usually really like her honesty in the way she writes songs. She was raised in Alaska and lived a fairly back to nature life there with horses even though she sang a lot with her father in bars and honkytonks growing up. She said they had to sneak her in and out past the local cops because it wasn't legal for her to be singing where she did as a child.

Then she was an adult homeless person living in her car in San Diego when she was discovered and this time as an adult made it big. So I can relate to someone who went to the edge for her belief in her own singing. Most people just don't have the guts for it.

There is a great version of it online at Stage6. I usually just listen and don't download and use up memory. However, everyone to their own. You can find it one of two ways either under "Leno" since that is where it was recorded or "Jewel".

Moving

Moving. I was feeling sorry for myself at having had the Boomerang chest cold for about 2 weeks so far. I started thinking about my life. The last thirteen years I have lived on only two homes with my wife and daughter and sometimes my adult son who is now in medical school.

However, I started to think back upon the many moves from apartment to house to whatever that I endured from birth to about 46 years of age. There were some good things about this too, like the almost 400 girlfriends I had when I wasn't married and having kids during the time from age 15 to the present, plus all the wonderful people I met and wonderful scenery everywhere. But that is mostly about the 60s and 70s and before AIDS so people today couldn't possibly understand what California was like on the coast that didn't actually live through it in the 1960s and 1970s.

For fun in order of where I lived I thought it could be fun to list where I lived chronologically:
Seattle, Lake Forest Park (2 locations),beginning California age 4 Vista, El Cajon, Age 6 Tujunga, age 8 Glendale (3 locations) until age 21. Then Hollywood Hills, Venice, Poway, Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo, San Marcos, Encinitas, San Marcos Again, Vista again,Mt. Shasta 7 locations 1976&7, 1980 to 84, 1989 to 1992. Aromas, 4 other locations in a Coastal California County near the San Fran. Bay area. That's about 30 moves since birth with most of them in San Diego, Los Angeles, Siskiyou counties, and the Greater Seattle Area. Then I have to add 3 locations in Hawaii, Hilo in 1974 and Hana and Paia in 1989 and 1990. So far I think I'm up to 33 moves which doesn't include the house I built with my father in Yucca Mesa or the House which I and my father and a few friends built at 4000 feet on the side of Mt. Shasta on 2 1/2 acres so that takes us up to at least 35 moves and I know I have forgotten at least 15 other moves many of them with a grand piano up flights of stairs before I moved to Hawaii in 1974 with my first wife and baby. For some of you from other countries you might be horrified or be jealous of me depending on your point of reference. Obviously, by now I have learned to take my friends, girlfriends, wives and children with me. And yes, I usually choose whenever possible to live in the most beautiful places I can find either near the ocean for snorkeling, body surfing or surfing or near mountains where there is skiing, hiking, mountaineering or in summer kayaking and swimming in pristine mountain lakes and streams.

I have always avoided working for large corporations like the plague and have preferred whenever possible to be an entrepreneur owning either full time or part time businesses. I also started mail order businesses to supplement my family income.
This facilitated moving whenever I wanted to. Also, colleges that I attended caused me to move several times. Other times it was girlfriends or wanting to be near friends in Mt. Shasta that were buying property and starting fun lives which caused me to buy property and build my own house and have my own adventures.

People tell me that I act much younger and am healthier than most people my age. When I look at the Obituary page sometimes 75% are people dying between 35 and 60. Since I'll be 60 this year I would say I'm as healthy as most 35 years olds were when I grew up now at age 60. Diet, happy exercise and healthy living help. I don't smoke and rarely drink except when friends visit or I'm traveling to another place or country. So although I've got this damn Boomerang chest cold, since I started my Thyroid medicine last June I'm about 3 times and strong and healthy as I would have been a year ago. So life is amazing. sometimes I feel like I've been reborn!

Freezing to Death in China

Freezing to Death in China. Over 100 million people in China right now are in dire straits because of the worst snow storms in China in 50 years. You may have heard about 1 million or so Chinese migrant workers stuck in train stations with no trains because of the snow.

However, there are other long term problems that have been created by the forced moves of country dwellers into city apartments and condo like dwellings. In these new dwellings the people can't build fires for warmth like they could in the country. When the power goes out there is no heat and there are no lights even in below freezing temperatures. Modern condo type apartments only are useful if one can depend upon electricity for lighting, heating and the like. If one cannot depend upon electricity like now they are only tombs for the dying and freezing to death.

Likewise, a train system is only useful if it is working. When it doesn't it is only a place of sadness, misery and potential death like now. It is debatable whether the Government of China can withstand the miseries created by extreme changes in the life of the average person in China. Many will die needlessly if and until they get it right. I guess life really is cheap in China.

No Wild Trees Within 200 years

No Wild Trees Within 200 Years. When I was in my twenties I used to tell people because I could sense it psychically that either I or my children would be alive when the last wild tree was cut down so some poor person wouldn't freeze to death.

For those of you who haven't been to third world countries or seen people who literally live on less than a dollar a day for food and everything, you might not be able to imagine someone who desperately is ecological but if there is a choice between they and their children freezing to death then the last bush or tree or even the last animal or bird of a species is fair game. Put yourself in their position. They and their families will die if they don't cut down the last tree to stay warm, if they don't sell that gorilla or tiger as poachers.

It doesn't mean these people aren't ecologists too. It's just they are not willing to die for that last tree or last tiger.

What I'm speaking about here is the problem people don't want to talk about. It is the real reason all the trees and the real reason most of the species of most animals and plants and trees will be extinct within 200 years. At this point I don't see a way to stop it. Even if we get 75% of the population of earth educated with decent jobs and a decent living still there will be the uneducated who must in order to survive cut down those bushes and trees in order not to freeze to death in the wintertime. The first places are already beginning to experience this, Africa and it is also beginning in Asia as well. Soon, Africa, India, Asia will have no more wild trees that don't have 24 hour guards that shoot trespassers. Then it will slowly spread by next century to South America and finally to North America and to Europe. It won't be the top 75% of mankind that kill all the trees. It will be the poorest 10% worldwide that have to choose between freezing to death and killing that last tree. This is reality folks. This is what is coming unless someone figures out a way to stop this. It's very simple. How can this be stopped?

The Bard

The Bard. original fiction. The Bard sat on the hilltop next to the battle. He alone was authorized and protected by both sides to report to the people historically about the battle. All others had their biases. He had had to prove his neutrality for 10 to 15 years now successfully. The battle began late because it was raining. First there was the yelling and taunting and counting of coup. Next came the arrows raining down on each side accompanied by the screams of those taken unawares with shields not quite in the right position to catch or deflect the arrows and for those whose shields that were not quite tough enough to withstand the penetrating arrows. There were no doctors only a few nurses and medicine people from the local tribes to tend wounds. Unless a sword was heated in a fire to cauterize most wounds the soldiers would die soon from an infection of one kind or another. So any deep wound on any part of the body could prove ultimately fatal.

When the screams from the first volleys of arrows began The Bard had to fight off nausea. However, he knew no matter how this made him feel he had to stay conscious to chronicle these events for posterity. It was his duty. It was expected of him by all present. All those dying deserved his utmost skills to chronicle their deaths for all time. After the bowmen came the swordsmen and spearmen with their gaff's and claymore
swords. The blood spurting and arms and legs and heads flying in all directions made the Bard gag but still he took it all in knowing his responsibilities to posteriety for there was none but him that could do justice to this battle in poetry, ballad and song. This was how history had been kept already for hundreds and thousands of years by Bards like himself. For pen, and ink and writing had not made their way here much as of yet.

Over Her Dead Body: The Movie

Over Her Dead Body: The Movie. I went to see this movie today. It reminded me in many ways of "Just Like Heaven" with Reese Witherspoon. As a psychic myself who has talked to dead people whether he wanted to or not since my teens and before, I found this movie like "Just Like Heaven" remarkably accurate in the way the soul traveling comatose and the dead who haven't moved on yet, remarkably accurate even though hollywooded up for moviegoers. The reality is a lot more scary and insecure than the way they portrayed it.

There is a natural progression when people die. Since I have experienced many relatives and friends after they passed on here is the basic progression. First, most of them are in denial that they are dead, whether this is emotional, mental or spiritual denial depends upon the soul. Then after they accept they are dead they are a little blown out by the fact that they are dead and finally they are forced to accept the fact that they are dead. For the average person this above progression can take about 1 to 3 months time(our time here on earth not their time). I wouldn't know how to calibrate time for the souls themselves as they no longer live in our time continuum really accept for the times they watch us or contact us.

However, some people who are very spiritual naturally like priests and some psychics and some healers like doctors and psychological therapists and the like who are many times gifted like I am tend to do a very easy transition when they pass because it could be said that they already live in the land of the dead as well as the land of the living just like me.

Another very strange thing is that for me, one of the main reasons I'm still alive in a body on earth is that since I see what it is like for people after they die I can see it is more useful both to myself and everyone else if I'm alive and not dead. Though there are millions of people like myself on earth who can talk with the dead, we certainly are in a minority among 7 billion people. Also, there are a lot of fakes out there who pretend to be like us. I make it a point to never make money using my psychic gifts to help others. Instead if I do something it is Free-Gratis as I believe that is what God intended. So as soon as someone charges for anything psychic I don't really care whether they are accurate or not I feel they dishonor God for Charging for psychic advice.

The Ghost Who Walks

The Ghost Who Walks. I've stayed alive the last 20 years for my children. I wanted to die at 21 and was grateful to have a son at 26 so I had a good reason to stay alive for him so that I could raise him well so he could have a good future. The happiest years of my life were 0 to 18 and from 50 until now. The very worst years of my life were my 20s and my 40s. I almost didn't survive both decades. My second best decade of my life was my 30s. During my 30s I lived many of my childhood dreams. I built my own A-Frame house on the side of Mt. Shasta, I homeschooled my older children, I took my family to India and Nepal for 4 months, We hiked 50 miles up to 10,000 feet into the Himalayas, at least 25 miles from the nearest dirt road at that time,1986. I stayed with Sherpa family at 9000 feet and another family at 8000 feet altitude. We crossed over about 50 or more suspension bridges far from any roads and met people who had never seen an automobile or television or a telephone.

But now, after relatives sent me a group of family photos dating back to 1900, I realized that everyone I was looking at photos of now was dead that I knew except for maybe 10% of my relatives. My father is dead. My mother doesn't know who I am or who she is. All my grandparents are dead. Three of my Aunts are dead now and only one remains alive who hardly knows who she is or who I am. All of my uncles are dead.

Two of my male cousing died at age 62, one after 2001 and one last year.
I have one cousin in Orange County that I visit once or so a year that I am still close to. And I see his mother and his children and their children. But mostly I am alone now. Of my three best friends from childhood and young adulthood, One is dead, one doesn't know who he is or who I am, and one is a world traveling professional musician who I still ski with at least once a year.

So, it's mostly my wife and I and our 11 year old and a few friends. So I still have a life but when I look at all those now dead I feel numb and diminished greatly by their passing. I understand now the pathos of my older relatives now when they were 60 or above. Knowing that you are next in the line of succession unto death whether you live to 60 or 100 or possibly by some miracle 110,120,130. Still after 40 everything is by God's Grace.

I look in the Obituaries and am amazed how many are dying in their late 30' and 40s to 60s. Somedays it is 75% people from late 30s to 60s dying and I am amazed.

I think of the book "Life Begins at 40" written in the 20s or 30s and realize that for many even here in the US, 40 is a bridge to Far. So I count my blessings and my relatively good health that I can still ski and sail and ride a bike or even a motorcycle or probably even land a plane in an emergency because I soloed in a Cessna 152 in 1989. LIFE GOES ON WITH US OR WITHOUT US!

Living Underground:Hope for Humans?

Living Underground:Hope for Humans? All over our planet earth is a relatively untapped resource: relative heat. Wherever you live on our planet the temperature of the earth between 1 foot to 7 feet underground tends to be around 60 degrees fahrenheit year around. Where I live I keep my home thermostat set at between 62 degrees and 68 degrees or off depending upon the outside temperature.

So what I'm saying is imagine all the heating or cooling power that could be saved if
everyone decided to live underground (1 or more feet underground) to conserve power to help alleviate global Climate change?

There is another advantage to living underground. The actual sustainable human population moves from 250 million that can actually survive 1000 years or more on planet earth without turning earth into a 600+ degree Venus like environment to around 13 billion people that could live underground if the surface was ONLY used for recreation and farming. Yes. This WOULD be a big change for humans.

However, I believe the alternative is to watch all but around 250 million people die over the next 300 to 500 years and if the human race is too stubborn in this case we will go extinct from extreme Global Climate change.
