Intuition by Jewel

Intuition by Jewel. I have always liked Jewel's poetry and lyrics. Though the way she sings this song is highly contrived for effect I usually really like her honesty in the way she writes songs. She was raised in Alaska and lived a fairly back to nature life there with horses even though she sang a lot with her father in bars and honkytonks growing up. She said they had to sneak her in and out past the local cops because it wasn't legal for her to be singing where she did as a child.

Then she was an adult homeless person living in her car in San Diego when she was discovered and this time as an adult made it big. So I can relate to someone who went to the edge for her belief in her own singing. Most people just don't have the guts for it.

There is a great version of it online at Stage6. I usually just listen and don't download and use up memory. However, everyone to their own. You can find it one of two ways either under "Leno" since that is where it was recorded or "Jewel".
