GOP argues with itself over Syria

Republicans are of two minds on Syria. Some, like Sen. John McCain, favor US military invention. Others, like Sen. Rand Paul, don't see such a US role. Polls show most Americans agree with Paul.

Republicans are arguing over what the US should do about Syria – with Democrats, of course, but more significantly with themselves
Leading the more hawkish wing is Sen. John McCain, who knows something about war first-hand and is not always in line with his party’s deep thinking on the way to confront foreign enemies (see the efficacy of “enhanced interrogation,” otherwise known as torture).
But Mr. McCain is just back from Syria, where he met with some of the rebels trying to overthrow the regime of Bashar al-Assad in a bloody conflict that’s cost tens of thousands of lives. And speaking on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday, the Arizona Republican once again called for the US and its allies to send missiles and bombs into the fray.
"We need to give them a no-fly zone," McCain said, speaking of rebel forces. "The Israelis have shown us we can take out their facilities from a distance, that we don't have to risk our pilots. We can crater their runways, we can take out their air assets, we can provide them with a safe zone…”
“We can establish that safe zone," he said, "and I'm confident that we can prevail."
Such thinking does not appeal to the more isolationist, libertarian wing of the GOP – namely Sen. Rand Paul, who (like his father Ron Paul before him) could be a force in the 2016 presidential race.
Speaking at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., Friday night, Sen. Paul took on McCain directly.
“I’m very worried about getting involved in a new war in Syria,” he said. “People say, ‘Assad is such a bad guy.’ He is. But on the other side we have al Qaeda and now Nusra,” militant groups fighting with the Syrian opposition.
“They say there are some pro-Western people and we’re going to vet them,” Paul continued. “Well, apparently we’ve got a senator over there who got his picture taken with some kidnappers, so I don’t know how good a job we’re going to do vetting those who are going to get the arms.”
As the Washington Times reports, McCain has been under harsh scrutiny since posing for a photo with Syrian rebels who are alleged to have kidnapped 11 Lebanese Shiites.
“There’s two ironies you have to overcome if you want to get involved in a war in Syria,” Paul said. “The first irony is you will be allied with al Qaeda. The second irony is most of the Christians are on the other side, so you may be arming Islamic rebels who may well be killing Christians. Does that make Assad a good person? No. I don’t think there are any good people in this war, and there are some tragically innocent people who are going to be caught in the middle. But I just don’t know that arming one side is going to make the tragedy any less.”

Though they might not agree with everything he favors, most Americans clearly do support Paul’s hesitancy about any US role in Syria.
A Pew Research Center survey in December found just 27 percent saying “the US has a responsibility to do something about the fighting in Syria” with 63 percent saying it does not. Among voting groups, Republicans at 66 percent were the most opposed.
“Similarly, just 24 percent favor the US and its allies sending arms and military supplies to anti-government groups in Syria, while 65 percent are opposed,” Pew reported.
As Fox News reports Sunday, the Paul-McCain dust-up “underscores a divide in the GOP and intensifies the fight over what the party will represent in 2016 and beyond.”
“Their ideological fight is just one of several among Republicans as members seek to define and reshape the party after losing the last two presidential elections,” notes Fox, including such issues as immigration and how to attract Hispanic voters, 71 percent of whom voted for Barack Obama in the last presidential election.
With polls on the side of Democrats, Syria may be just as tough for the party generally more inclined to favor a military solution.
“It’s tragic while we sit by and watch… a battlefield situation where Bashar Assad now has the upper hand,” McCain said on “Face the Nation.”
But sitting and watching, painful as that might be, is where most Americans apparently want to be right now.

GOP argues with itself over Syria

Even though FDR (a Democrat) was on duty when World War II Started and President Kennedy (A Democrat) was on duty when the Viet Nam War Started, the GOP tends to be thought of and to think of itself as the Hawks or even the Warriors because so much of the military brass in all services are Republicans. Republicans honor Country and Duty to Country above almost all other things even if it kills them.

A debate can be had as to whether this is good or bad but in the end the country still exists as a democracy in a Republic because of people willing to die for what they believe in in  both Political parties here in the U.S.

Also, though I tend to agree with McCain in many respects what Rand Paul says has a lot of merit too:

begin repeat quote from above:

“There’s two ironies you have to overcome if you want to get involved in a war in Syria,” Paul said. “The first irony is you will be allied with al Qaeda. The second irony is most of the Christians are on the other side, so you may be arming Islamic rebels who may well be killing Christians. Does that make Assad a good person? end repeat quote from above.

This point of view is as genuine as McCain's. Both men are incredibly genuine and Mavericks in the Republican Party and I think both men should be listened to before any final decisions are made. Also, all Democratic points of view should be listened to as well before making any decisions.

At the Lookout

My father had passed away while I was stationed at my job at the fire lookout on top of Call Mountain in Central California in 1985. I had seen my Uncle Tommy come into my lookout as a spirit and I asked him why he was there. He looked at me and then I knew he was coming to take my father to heaven with him.

So, since I was off duty (12 hours on and 12 hours on stand by) I could call my father or make dinner or go to sleep or whatever I wanted to do unless I was needed for something and they I would be either called or radioed for instructions. So, physically I was 40 feet up from the top of Call Mountain in a Fire lookout and could see about 25 to 50 miles in all directions on a clear day. And in the Spring when I first came on Duty usually in May (May through October) depending upon the weather I would often see the snow capped peaks of the Sierras towering up to 14,000 feet with Mt. Whitney across the wide valley from me about 200 miles away by car and likely 100 as the crow flies.

During the 1/2 week I was gone from home my wife would run our business for me 6 months a year while I had this job for the State of California as a Fire Lookout. So, when Uncle Tommy came to me I said to him, "Tommy. I haven't seen you in a long time. What are you doing here?" And his silence had me call my father to tell him his brother was coming for him. So, I called my Dad on the phone and told him, "Dad. Tommy is coming for you. You need to look for him!" Dad said,"I don't feel very well, Freddie. I'll talk to you later." I hung up the phone glad I could prepare my father for his passing.

5 hours later my mother called and told me Dad had passed away in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I told her the story of Tommy and we both cried together because she loved Tommy at least as much as she loved my Dad. Also, Mom was also spiritually gifted like me and often saw angels and Masters like Jesus. So, in the beginning she helped teach me how to use my gifts when I was a child from babyhood on.

Now, it was about October 1985 and Dad had passed on in August 1985. I was at the lookout on the last couple of weeks before I went off duty for 6 months for the winter and early spring when the 10 miles of dirt roads might be impassable by even a good 4 wheel drive like mine (I had a 1974 International Harvester Scout II 4WD with a Locking Rear end for extra traction if you needed it)

On this particular day the most powerful form of Vajrasattva (which means Diamond Vow) which is the Tibetan Buddist highest Buddha or Diety that is in the physical universe. I think he and his consort Nyema would be what I would call God of the physical universe except they are the Highest Buddhas in a different Pantheon. Anyway, Vajrasattva came to me and said, "You are going to leave for India on December 10th this year."

I got off duty and went home to my wife and said, "Vajrasattva came to me and told me I'm going to India this year on December 10th". My wife said, "How are we going to do that?" She didn't question me because often God told me things just before they happened so this wasn't unusual for her. She just didn't see how this would be possible. I said, "I don't know how it will happen but if it is that important we will be shown how to do it."

Within one month of this the money came from her inheritance that we didn't know about at the time. At first we thought about buying another 2 1/2 acres of land but we already had one on Mt.  Shasta that I had already built an A-Frame on that we lived in from about 1980 to 1985 off and on depending upon the weather because we could get up to 7 feet of snow there at one time during the winters.

So, finally I said to her, "Maybe this is what Vajrasattva was talking about maybe we are supposed to take this money and go to India with it?"

So, we went to a local travel agency and it was just way too expensive for us to go. So we gave up the idea. Later, my mother was visiting and a friend who used to work on the Berkeley Barb during the 1960s wanted us to visit haight-Ashbury where things were happening when he was young in the 196ºs. So, we all went up there and walked (about 10 of us) down Haight Street in San Francisco while listening to our friend reminisce about his youth in the 1960s in Berkeley and San Francisco.

While walking along there my mother spied a travel agency that had a sign in the window that said, "275 dollars for one week in Waikiki". This just seemed like something fake because it was too cheap so I went into the travel agency with her to protect her because she was in her late 60s or early 70s.

But, walking in there I started to realize that this was a very specialized kind of Travel agency that catered to College students and researchers all over the world who had a lot of time but not much money to accomplish their goals. So, instead they specialized in what is called "Discount tickets" which meant that you could buy a ticket that you would use within a 6 month window for example. You weren't concerned about your exact departure date or your exact return date. So, I asked the man, "How much for 5 tickets to Kathmandu, Nepal with a 6 month stay possible?"
The man said, "$5000 if you leave before December 11th." I looked at my wife and bought the tickets right then. We were routed through Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong if we wished, and Kathmandu, Nepal. We then realized that we had enough to go as well as to pay my wife's sister to run our business and make our car payments while we were gone. And that when we ran out of money we would fly back whenever we wished to the U.S.

So, because of this we had an experience of a lifetime because Vajrasattva told me when to go to India. We eventually went to Boghgaya, India to meet a Tibetan Lama who was a friend of ours from Santa Cruz, California and we happened upon the Kalachakra Initiation given to 500,000 people as well there. We had not idea about it at all but our Lama friend quickly signed us up for the initiation into the Shambala mandala. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life as well as traveling later to Benares (It has a newer name now) and to Dharamshala, India where the Dalai Lama lives where I went to see Ling Rinpoche who had run Tibet until the Dalai Lama was 18. At that time Ling Rinpoche, a Very accomplished Tibetan Lama had been sitting on a table for one or two years meditating there without decomposing. When I went into the room I felt him projecting back from a heaven realm blessings. What I experienced there was somewhat similar to what I experienced when going to see where Saint Catherine was a 160 Rue Du Bac in Paris. It was unbelievably spiritually powerful in a way that is so far beyond most experiences that there are not words to even properly describe it. Both places completely interfaced heaven realms with the physical world for me. So, literally being in heaven and earth simultaneously was my experience. However, maintaining the right state of consciousness when experiencing this can be sort of difficult unless you are a little child who is innocent still. Because you have to leave your senses sort of open in order to receive the blessings and still make sure you are protected as well because of still living on Earth.

Mary, The Mother of Jesus

My daughter was 5 years old and she and I were spending the night in her tree house on the 7 acres in Aromas, California that her mother and I were renting at the time. We had her Shetland Pony, named "Lightning Cody" or just Cody who was a golden palomino. My 5 year old daughter had ridden her in the Aromas parade that year and she had dressed up as a "Flower Fairy" her Halloween Costume and we had put a unicorn horn on Cody. It was a really amazing site to see them both in the parade that year.

I was trying to remain centered through the difficult divorce and her mother's new boyfriend that I didn't feel safe to leave my daughter around when I was praying and "Mary the mother of Jesus appeared to me in a vision and said to me, "You need to stay very disciplined and calm. If you are calm and disciplined your daughter can grow up and have a good life. I will be with you every step of the way." I listened to her and followed her instructions to the letter. What she said worked and a year later I met my next wife and she gave me a "Mary, Miraculous Medal" That was first struck in Paris, France in the early 1800s by a nun in a Catholic Convent there after an apparition of Mary appeared to her there. The picture above is the church there that I visited a few years ago while I was in Paris with my family including my then 5 year old daughter who was now in her 20s and my new daughter by my new wife who was then about 14.

When I walked into the Chapel angels greeted me and told me what to do. I had never had an experience like this in any Christian Church in my life this powerful. So, I saw that the presence of Mary, the Mother of Jesus and all her angels was still there since she visited Saint Catherine Laboure there I believe in the early 1800s. After she got permission to strike this medal people who wore it often were healed of Cholera I believe so Millions of these "Miraculous Medals were struck as a result not only in France but throughout the Christian World.

In 1995 one year after my visitation by Mary, the Mother of Jesus my wife to be gave me a gold Miraculous Medal to wear and I immediately noticed the protection and blessings of it ongoing. Though I got a heart virus in 1998, even then  angels   were with me and when I called my son on the phone to come take me to the hospital to die, the Angels    came and spoke with me. They surrounded me and when I thought they had come to take my soul and that I was dying, they said in unison over and over again, "You are not going to die! Your life will get better now!" They said this firmly over and over again until the message went deep down into the cells of my body and down into my very soul. My human mind had trouble with this but my experience with angels has always taught me to believe what they say as it is usually correct because they are just being obedient to God.

So, ever since 1995 I have worn continuously even in the shower and while swimming this God miraculous medal and so has my wife. Since my fingers started swelling up at night so I couldn't wear rings while sleeping my Mary, Miraculous medal became for me like a wedding ring. So much good fortune and good luck that is completely unbelievable has come into my life since 1995 when I first put on this medal about 18 years ago now. If you need miracles in your life maybe wearing one might help you too.

The visible body of Saint Catherine and two other Saints is still in this Chapel in Paris. Her body has never decomposed as she is an immaculate Saint.

Note: I found the above photo to share with you by going into Google Images under the heading "160 Rue Du Bac Paris" which is the address of the Mary Chapel in France. We didn't know of it's existence or location until my wife called a friend who is a Catholic Nun in the U.S. She told us we simply had to go there because it was where the Miraculous medals we had worn since 1995 had been originally struck. It was amazing!

Take an Interest in your Life

Note: I wrote this after I finished writing this article below. Though it was helpful for me to write this free flowing article it didn't go the way I had originally intended. end note.

Often, we all get bogged down in the monotony of life and lose both faith and hope as a result. So, it is vitally important for all of us to take an interest in our own lives and the lives of those around us if we want to survive well and for others in our lives to survive well also.

I can remember graduating High School and though graduation was wonderful and my parents came to it and I even gave a speech at my graduation, there was also a foreboding for me about graduating High School. Though I was young and tall and strong and handsome and I could always find a girlfriend, even then I knew life was about a lot more than getting, having and keeping a girlfriend. So, I experienced a foreboding regarding graduating High School that I wasn't sure that I would even survive past 25 with then.

In some ways looking back now this was a self fulfilling prophecy for me because I wasn't yet seeing the whole picture yet just like most kids just out of high school. But, I was also very lucky for my era because I wasn't going to get drafted ever into the Army like all my friends because I had had childhood epilepsy which gave me a deferment from the draft unless the U.S. went into an all out war with some other country.

So, both then and now I felt very lucky but also guilty because of all my friends being drafted or having to go to college to get a student deferment so they could stay alive and mentally and physically well then.

So, feeling guilty that I was not dying or going to die or going to get wounded or going to get PTSD like almost everyone on the front lines of the Viet Nam War got was something I had to live with every day. This was about feeling patriotic about being an American whether or not I agreed with the U.S. being in Viet Nam in that war in the first place.

So, this also led to my despondency about life at that time. I knew I was not prepared emotionally for career, or having a family at 18, or 19 or 20 and not even by 21. This made me more and more confused about my life in many ways. On top of this when I first went to college and took a Social Science Course it conflicted with my family's religious training of Creationism and being a natural intuitive made it even more confusing by sensing the belief systems of all the other college students that mostly in this secular college believe in Evolution. This caused me to drop out of college and go to work because I was so upset with this at the time then in Fall of 1966. So, I got a job working nearby in Hollywood at a Travel Publications company that published large books at that time of hotels all over the world because at that time there was no internet. So people all over the world bought these books to know about all these hotels all over the world. I had planned to only work there one semester but my mother needed an operation and my Mom and Dad asked me to work another semester so that put me out of college for one year. So I did this for them since they didn't have health insurance to help them pay for the operation. Now it was Fall of 1967. I was interested in building an ideal female companion as a robot. (Don't ask me why because it is funny to me now). I got the idea from "Star Trek" on TV when this beautiful blonde girl on a planet that Captain Kirk "William Shatner" falls in love with turns out to be just a very sophisticated robot. So, I majored in Computer Data Processing at my college. Doing this got me a job part time almost immediately at the Glendale Board of Education processing IQ tests and other mark sense tests for students throughout Glendale from High School Through college. As I learned to program computers and operate all the different IBM computers based upon punch cards then I became proficient with the IBM 1620 computers and IBM 360s(360s were the main workhorse mainframe computer used in the U.S. back then (because there were no microprocessors yet. They didn't get invented until the 1970s.) So just working with computers meant you were working with millions of dollars of equipment. So windows were not there around mainframes and peripherals because they didn't want them stolen by people who saw them there.

Back to Taking an interest in your life: Though I followed my interests into Logic and computer programming, still something was missing. In the end even though I was logical and loved computer logic and computer programming, still in the end I was also an intuitive and so by going too deep into computers I was just losing myself in a not very good way in the process. Because being an intuitive is about being in the moment and following your instincts and intuition. Otherwise, your intuition and often you being alive goes away. So, I then got a job automating a warehouse with computers while I went to Night School for my college courses. Then finally I got a job working midnight to noon 7 days a week which looking back now was really crazy. But then I was 20 and what did I know?

I bought myself a brand new Camaro (1968) because I was making a lot of money but I couldn't get used to a 12 hour a day graveyard shift and eventually because of it had a minor accident in my Camaro and ruined my front bumper from lack of sleep. Within a couple of weeks of that an Angel Came to me while at work and said to me, "You did all this in Atlantis! You will not be allowed to go down the same path again! You will either quit this job now or you will be fired!"

I was really upset. I knew the angel was right but I was also a proud young man. My computer career had taken off. I was making a lot of money. But I also knew the angel was right. I was Lost!

So, because I couldn't give up my job I eventually got fired because I couldn't get enough sleep to do my job right and I got sick and still kept working anyway, despite what the angel said. When I got fired "Basically for being too proud to quit a job I couldn't do because I couldn't get enough sleep" I was lost because my career just crashed from my young stupidity and I knew it. I had no on to blame but myself. I was crushed by myself and I felt I had let down all my friends and family and I was lost.

This was in early 1969 and I would say from this moment on until my son was born in 1974 I was on the verge of suicide. (What's really amazing is I never thought this through this far before. I always had blamed my being suicidal on breaking up with my girlfriend and having to leave my childhood religion. However, it started with this last computer job in February 1969.

By the way 1969 was the single most crazy insane year in my life. I turned 21 that year. If you ask anyone who was a young adult that year likely they will agree with me. That was a completely nuts year for the world and everyone in it.

Anyway, this article didn't go where I thought it was going to at all, so hopefully you are entertained by it anyway.

San Francisco Median Home Price Tops $1 Million

By Aaron Sankin Posted:   |  Updated: 05/31/2013 5:55 pm EDT
Earlier this month, San Francisco reached a potentially dubious milestone--the median price of a home in the city topped $1 million.
To give a sense of just how quickly this has happened, its important to note that the current median price is a 32 percent jump from where its sat last year.
The phenomenon isn't solely confined to San Francisco proper. Other Bay Area cities are experiencing similar surges in housing prices, leading the whole region to see a 22 percent increase in prices over the past twelve months.
This is great news for current homeowners thinking about cashing out and moving to the Bahamas. But for everyone else it raises two questions: 1. Where can I get one of those internet millionaire jobs I keep hearing so much about, and 2. Are we in the midst of the housing bubble?
According to a recent study by real estate brokerage house Redfin, San Francisco is one of the cities in the United States most likely to be experiencing a real estate bubble based on a host of factors ranging from the ratio of home prices to median household income, the speed at which prices are growing and the speed at which houses are sold after being listed on the market.
"The normal laws of economics don't apply to the Bay Area," Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman told HuffPost in April. "You could have huge unemployment numbers here and home prices would still go up because [the supply is so constrained and] there are enough people with limitless amounts of money who want to live there."
Unlike the real estate bubble that triggered the Great Recession, the Bay Area's newfound growth in home prices isn't fueled by sketchy financing ("Do you have a heartbeat and signature? Here are the keys to this 12 bedroom estate!"). Instead, what's going on is directly tied to the strength of the Bay Area's largely tech-fueled job market, which is drawing an influx of wealthy people into areas where there isn't enough supply to go around.
The reason for the Bay Area's lack of supply is largely due to the aftershocks of the last bubble, which devastated the construction industry and led to far fewer houses being built to accommodate the region's swelling population.
Some of that is starting to change--especially in San Francisco, where a construction boom is simultaneously creating new housing units after years of virtually nothing coming onto the market--but the new construction isn't happening fast enough to stabilize demand.
While the Fed is helping to keep interest rates low, which makes buying a house considerably cheaper, the money coming into some pockets of the Bay Area is so great that it's common for properties to stay on the market for less than a week and the majority of buyers are paying entirely with cash.
However, it's not only internet millionaires acquiring scores of Bay Area real estate with mountains of cold, hard cash. The practice of house flipping--where an investor buys a property (often with cash), fixes it up and then sells it almost immediately to make a profit both on the renovation and the rising tide of the housing market--is back with a vengeance.
A recent analysis by RealtyTrac found the average gross profit for flipping a house in San Francisco last year was 23 percent over the original purchase price, making it one of the best markets in the country for flipping.
In February, 28 percent of all the homes sold in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda and Contra Costa counties went to absentee buyers not intending on actually living on the property and nearly one third sold for cash.
"In terms of the added frustration to Mr. and Mrs. Typical Homebuyer, the investor coming in with cash is going to trump," Coldwell Banker's Rick Turley told the San Jose Mercury News. "Even at the next price tier, you've got these young wealthy millionaires buying their first home at $1.5 million, and they're paying cash. That's edging out the move-up buyer."
Even so, there are many housing experts who believe what's happening is healthy growth that's sustainable over the long term.
"This is not a bubble," economist Diane Swonk told ABC News. "We are regaining lost ground which is a game-changer for most households since their home is what they rely on for wealth."

San Francisco Median Home Price Tops $1 Million

I was noticing on the news (CNN TV) they were talking about cashing in on the housing boom nationwide and talking about investing in everything associated with the upturn in housing. All companies that make anything to do with what goes into building a house, furnishing a house, or appliances within a house, cars in the garage etc. are what people are investing in now. Because at least in cities like San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Phoenix and others, housing is booming and this is good for the overall U.S. and world economy.

9 dead after tornadoes, floods strike Oklahoma

A tornado ripped a roof off a house in St. Louis. Severe weather moved through the middle of the country, ranging from Oklahoma to Missouri and beyond.
Severe flooding was the big issue Saturday as officials began surveying damage from tornadoes that hit the Oklahoma City metro area Friday, killing 9 and injuring more than 75 people.
The storm, the second fatal one to strike the region in 11 days, spawned several tornadoes, toppled cars and left commuters trapped on an interstate highway during Friday's evening rush. Law enforcement officers and Red Cross workers headed to hard-hit areas after dawn to assess the damage.
The storm also brought heavy rain and hail. Floodwaters topped 4 feet in Oklahoma City early Saturday and were expected to rise as flash flooding continued in parts of the state. Across east and central Oklahoma, repeated rounds of thunderstorms have produced between 4 to 7 inches of rain since midnight Saturday.
Some highways were closed because of downed power lines. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission reported at least 86,200 power outages related to the storms as of early Saturday.
The area along the state's I-40 corridor, packed with motorists when the storm occurred Friday, was particularly hard-hit. A mother and a child were killed when their car rolled over, KFOR-TV reported. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said several motorists were missing.
One person died at El Reno, the first city struck by the storm, said Amy Elliott, a spokeswoman for the state medical examiner. Details on the other deaths were not available, Elliott said.
A tornado was reported on the ground in Moore, where a mammoth May 20 twister killed 24 people and left the southern Oklahoma City suburb in ruins, KOKH-TV reported.
Will Rogers World Airport, southwest of Oklahoma City, was closed Friday evening and reopened overnight.
Rick Smith, the warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service at Norman, said that while the storm packed a powerful punch, with winds estimated at 80 mph, it wasn't as strong as the Moore tornado.
Smith also said it was fortunate that the storm largely bypassed the center of the city.
In Missouri, the combination of high water and fallen power lines closed dozen of roads, snarling traffic on highways and side streets in the St. Louis area. At the Hollywood Casino in suburban Maryland Heights, gamblers rushed from the floor as a storm blew out windows and tore off part of the roof.
Weather Channel meteorologist Mike Bettes sustained minor injuries after the "tornado hunt" car in which he was riding in Oklahoma was thrown about 200 yards by a tornado.
The storms were moving east at a slow pace and severe weather is expected "all the way up into Maine and as far south into Georgia," said meteorologist Eric Fisher of The Weather Channel. "Flash flooding is going to make travel very difficult."

45% of 16 Trillion in U.S. Household Wealth recovered since Recession

Only 45% of the $16 trillion dollars lost in the recession has been recovered by U.S. Households.

2/3 of regained wealth is directly tied to the stock market

Middle and lower income economic picture not as bright due to low home prices

However, in some areas like San Francisco, Las Vegas and Phoenix home prices have gained 20% in value recently to make these areas now a seller's market for homes.

Though originally a study was done saying 91% of the wealth had been recovered it was not adjusted for inflation and other factors. So, after all these changes were factored in this is a more realistic appraisal of what their money actually can buy today.

What Will the Future BE?

You and I are defining the future right now. Everyone of us on earth including all forms of life here on earth now.

Understanding this is very powerful or very frightening but usually both. It's awesome.

As an Intuitive this is even more profound for me. So, when I look into the future for me it is actually about creating and designing a future that you and I can actually stand to live through. So, for me, when I share things I see coming, mostly I'm sharing things I want to see change and become better.

I don't usually share good things I see coming because by sharing them it would change the good things to something else. So, I share the bad things I see coming knowing full well that you and I will change them if we know about them soon enough.

There are some things we can't change for example that make me sad. One of the things we can't change is the increasing winds in the next 300 years or so. This will be very difficult for all of us.
We are seeing already by the incredible storms and tornadoes hitting between Texas, Oklahoma and all the way up to Illinois and points eastward how awful these winds are now and how much worse they are going to get over the next 300 years or so. And it is not just here but also worldwide that winds will get worse caused directly by global warming.

So, in order for there to even be a future over much of earth people are going to have to learn to adapt to these winds one way or another.

Here are some of the ways to adapt to winds over 100 mph:
1. You pick up and move your family away from locations where winds this high will hit.
2. You build an underground house or buy an underground shelter for your house for $4000 to $8000
that can be installed in under 5 hours in most cases.
3. You start to prepare for these winds in multiple ways because just panicking like people did last night by getting in their cars wasn't very good when traffic jams occurred and no one could escape.

So, more than anything else I see winds over 100 mph in the form of hurricanes, tornadoes and just high winds do more damage to people's lives than anything else but flooding and droughts.

So, if you have a plan for flooding, droughts and winds over 100 mph at least then you might survive whatever future might come worldwide.

God is a Paradox

Whether you call this Paradox God or Life or Nature or Buddha or Zen or whatever you want to call it or him or her, God is a Paradox. I think the word Zen has come to mean for many people the least obtrusive word. People who believe in God and those who don't seem to accept the word Zen to mean the Paradox of life that often makes you laugh. Even Jon Stewart has his Zen moment at the end of his show.

I recently had this Zen moment with God in my own life. I was watching a movie called, "The Impossible" with Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts on Amazon Instant Prime on our living room TV and went into the bathroom and had this Zen moment that basically took the top of my head right off and God showed me literally "Everything he was trying to do through me in my whole life." I think if I had been younger it would have just been "Too Much" and I would have fainted. But, at that moment I could just let it wash right through me because I was in the right moment to receive it. And all I could do was think, "Oh God! You are so Magnificent!" That was all I could do.

I had often wondered why God had made me suffer so much in my life and yet paradoxically also been so easy on me? In this oceanic moment with God it was all explained to me.

It was that he needed me to be empowered (yet humble), Gifted (in a God Controlled way), Frightening (in a kind parental Way that protects one's children), Loving (yet faithful to him and to my wife and family), Bold (and yet in a way that didn't cause my own death), Intelligent (without being overbearing or lording it over others). Yes. Experiencing this when I was younger in the way it was presented to me would have made me faint.

So, I could look back at my life and understand why I had to almost die of whooping cough at age 2 so I could be humble and not so aggressive and fearless. After having whooping cough for awhile I would just look at the Pacific Ocean and cry because I had almost died.(and likely because I missed my relatives in Japan where I had last died in 1945 when I was 12 in Nagasaki.

Then I could see why I had had Childhood Epilepsy in order to make me more subservient to God without losing my spiritual gifts or dying. (God wanted me to be powerful but under his direct control so the power wouldn't be misused. He wasn't going to allow me to live without this.)

I could see why I had to leave my childhood religion at age 21. (I could not be limited by any religion because God wanted me to be a researcher in all directions for mankind.) He had made me someone who could bring together diverse points of view in an almost infinite series of reconciliations. As I grew up and older I began to realize just how rare this quality is in most people.

So, even getting giardia in India and Nepal was a part of his plan for me. When I got giardia little did I know that this was the beginning of the end of my 2nd marriage. That would have been unthinkable for me at the time because by 1989 I was still raising 4 children (two of my own biologically). I couldn't have dealt with knowing then that I would divorce in 1994, remarry in 1995 and have another daughter who is now 17. This would have been beyond anything I could have imagined at age 47. But, this is what happened. I also couldn't have imagined almost dying for 7 months from a heart virus either by age 50. But this is what happened. I couldn't have imagined being forced to retire because of it.But this is what happened. I couldn't have imagined being able to afford to retire at age 50 because I had expected to work until I died. But this is what happened. But, I could imagine (especially when I was with all those people on gurneys in Stanford Medical waiting for heart operations of starting a blog in God's Honor for saving my life once again) And so starting in 1999 I started my first blog at Geocities which eventually evolved into this one you are reading now(starting in 2007) and my archive Blog at dragonofcompassion.com

Yes. God is a Paradox. But I must say here: "Oh God! You are so Magnificent!"
