The Power of Positive Thinking.
I was trying to help my daughter who had an essay due on positive thinking so I wrote this so she could better organize her thoughts for the essay. Though it is short I found I liked its message and decided to post it here.
Begin:
Positive thinking is basically just believing you can do something. Whether it is lifting your arm, walking out your front door or even flying to the moon, nothing can be accomplished by anyone unless they first believe that they can do it. or at least believe thy have a chance of doing something.
In fact, I would say that the "American Dream" is completely based upon positive thinking. It is dreaming and believing that you have opportunities that you can create so your life and your children's lives might be better than you or your parents were before. Or the dream could be continuing or fulfilling the dream of your parents or even your own dreams. Does positive thinking mean that everyone who thinks positive will succeed? No. Unifortunately, it doesn't mean that. But in the end: nothing ventured nothing gained. This is the saying of all entrepreneurs and inventors like the Wright Brothers, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs and Wozniak, Bill Gates and even General Dwight Eisenhower who led the Normandy Invasion into France and Germany and who later became a two term president of the United States during the 1950s.
So, positive thinking is the essence of what it is to be an American. It is also the the essence of the American dream. It is also the essence of what makes successful people all over the world.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
