Heroes 11-2-09

I was watching my DVR of tonight's new Heroes and watching HIRO flit through time around Psyler or Syler or Sylar (depending how you want to spell it).

Is Time Travel possible the way Hiro is shown to do it? Many masters in Japan through Asia say "Yes!". From my point of view the answer is also "Yes." However, it is much more involved than you might think just like fantasizing about flying a jet fighter at Mach 2 is much different than actually doing it because you are going so fast then that one quick move might drive you unconscious at that speed. Also, most of you wouldn't be willing to train for several years or join the military. And an equal or more extreme discipline might be required as well as the basic skills and abilities necessary to actually pull this off. Also, one must in the end have the correct temperament for doing this sort of thing regularly or even once in a while. If the average person suddenly was 1000 years ago they just couldn't deal with it in most cultures on earth then. Physically dealing with the difference isn't the biggest thing. Language, culture, the lack of basic cleanliness and the general basic ignorance in one way and the basic strength and resilience of people then would just be too much to take for most people of today. So, in the end is time travel possible? The laws of probability would say "yes" about 99.9% IF time travel is possible scientifically in the first place. For if it has already been invented anywhere in any galaxy past, present or future the likelihood is that it is here right now with us on earth.

So, even if time travel is possible like millions of people on earth say it is, actually doing it would unhinge most people, especially if they got stuck one thousand or two thousand years ago and couldn't get back to today.
