45,000 people going north from California to Oregon and other states where it hits on Monday: Full Eclipse

Outside of some accidents around Stockton on or near Interstate 5 the trip north was okay. We started to see a lot of haziness from smoke from a fire in Shasta County. Then when we got north of Weed to Calahan we started to see the smoke in the sky directly coming over heading north east at this point. By Yreka we knew it wasn't heading towards Ashland and points north so we were kind of graetful for this. The sun turned dark red from all the smoke near Mt. Shasta by the way. The mountain from Interstate 5 was only a grey blob in the distance because of all the smoke. However, it wasn't bad to breathe but then again I don't have lung problems either. So, if you have asthma you likely should be careful driving up Interstate 5 by putting your reccycle air button on with your air conditioner to protect your lungs from harm (or whatever works for you).

So, outside of losing one hour in heavy traffic bumper to bumper near Stockton today we only lost one hour but this meant since we were pulling a trailer almost 12 hours on the road to our destination for now in Oregon.

If I remember correctly the full eclipse where you see the stars mid day if it is clear enough I believe is on a line near Corvalis and then heads eastward to North Carolina? I believe something like that. Not sure of the time I think it is in the morning on Monday maybe around 9am or 10am something like that if you are in Oregon when it happens.
