Yet to come today is the parade down Mt. Shasta blvd. and the fireworks at lake Siskiyou

  • July 4 12:00 PM PDT - 4th of July parade on Mt Shasta Blvd
  • July 4 9:45 PM PDT - Fireworks at Lake Siskiyou
The small town parade (if you have ever been to a small town parade you know what I'm talking about) is often quaint and unique and precious as they all are with lost of old cars and home made floats made out of kids wagons and flat bed trucks with bands playing on the back and such. This year is nice because it's not as hot as it has been in previous years with a high of only 81 degrees Fahrenheit expected which is really perfect weather for a parade.

Then tonight it is fireworks over Lake Siskiyou nearby at 9:45 after it gets dark. many people go out in their boats or floats and let the fireworks dust come down upon them on the lake. But, the water is a little colder from recent snow melt from the hotter weather earlier this week so swimming or floating with parts of your body in the water might be too chilly for most. So, most people likely will gather around the lake on on vantage points all over to see the fireworks at 9:45 pm.
