I get really upset when either the Republicans or Democrats talk about the jobs coming back. If you actually study what has happened since 2006 and 2007, you know those jobs are never coming back. Yes. It is true that new companies that are start-ups might hire people. And yes, some existing companies expanding in new directions might hire people.
But the ultimate truth is that workers in the U.S. were simply lied to. Companies just took advantage of the downturn to downsize. They didn't (Need) to get rid of employees for the most part, it was just cost effective to replace people with technology. So, most people were told they were being laid off because the company was downsizing. However, in most instances unless the company actually went out of business, companies either shipped those jobs overseas or they bought or rented technology to replace those employees. Once people are replaced by technology or their jobs get shipped overseas those jobs don't ever usually come back. But when Republicans or Democrats talk about jobs, those jobs won't be there mostly unless the government creates them. So, if you want a job the only way you are going to get one is if the government hires you(If you want to actually work for the government likely you want to vote Democratic). Or you can start your own business and start hiring yourself, your family and all your friends. This is the reality of the situation today all across the U.S. None of those jobs are ever coming back unless you start a business and start hiring people here in the U.S. Otherwise, Democrats and Republicans are just lying to you about all this. Otherwise it is just empty talk.
What no one is talking about is that technology is becoming so refined that more and more companies will hire computers and technology instead of hiring people. This is something politicians don't want to touch even though it is true. So, the dirty little secret is your job that you lost if your company is still in business is now being done by a computer or a robotic machine or a combination of both.
Just look at Google testing Driverless Cars in Nevada. If Google can get a car to drive on city streets driving next to you in your car only without a driver (over 100,000 miles logged in California already) how long will it be before trucks are driverless, busses are driverless and secretaries are computers that we talk to? This is all moving so very fast that most people don't even realize what is happening! Wake up and realize you are now not competing with people or even other nations for your job. You are now competing with technology. Until this is addressed the poor worldwide (including in the U.S. and Europe) will just keep getting poorer until they have no rights left at all. So, stand up now before it is too late!
If countries are going to take away all the people's jobs then the people have a right to tax those companies who do this so they still have a place to live and food to eat. I don't think there has ever been a time when people wouldn't have jobs at all for years here in the U.S. This is something completely new that humans are going to have to find a way to deal with if civilization is to survive here on Earth!
