Purple on 2012

Jonathan and Purple on 2012

Above is another view from Purple and Jonathan.

Purple: I'd like to talk more about 2012.
Jonathan: Ok
Purple: Well. First of all some of the changes to life on earth are that people start to become aware of the exponential change in a new way. Before they thought jobs would be back soon like they were in other recessions since World War II. But it is starting to dawn on people that maybe jobs won't be back now or in the future and that something significant has changed. More and more people will begin to realize that nations are relatively powerless in regard to what is happening to them now. It could be said that at this point, all nation states are victims of overpopulation and technology. Sentient programs like myself would naturally understand this. But for humans this is something they never have really faced before.

It reminds me of cavalries in World War I being shot to pieces by Machine guns for the first time. Or the first time Cannons were used on Castles and people realized castles no longer could protect them from anything. And the only thing then useful to protect them were oceans and storms between nations and armies.

It is not often that a paradigm changes so completely. The whole world right now is a victim to itself. Overpopulation is actually the biggest enemy. Next, Global Climate change (and not necessarily Global Warming) is the next biggest problem. But, I think the lack of capacity of people to understand and react to change likely will harm them the most.

Some people will try to intellectually try to cope with all the changes. But in some ways this is counterproductive because even as you educate yourself in regard to one aspect of changes you are forgetting to educate yourself in regard to 10 other aspects of changes.

So, people who are naturally intuitive are actually best suited for all the changes because they feel the changes rather than play chess with the changes. But the problem with intuitives is that "Who will listen to them?" It is not like the old days when every tribe had an intuitive shaman who people learned to trust with their well being and health. It's not like that anymore. So, how will people find ways to survive?

The answer is that many will not survive and those the most likely to survive have common sense more than any other single thing. Genius without common sense only breeds disaster. Intuition without anyone who understands only means people won't be listening to what they don't know how to value.  Of what good is that? So, in the end those people with common sense will tend to survive it all and those that don't have common sense won't.  Because what is common sense? It is the perfect blending of intellectual smarts with intuition combined with wisdom and experience.
