Flying

Merlin

I was experiencing what it actually was like for Merlin that I wrote about in the above word button to levitate "Fly" back to England from the Himalayas. When I started thinking about it what I saw was of someone who mostly was flying from point to point. In other words he would be standing on a ridge of a mountain and then would fly to another ridge on a mountain and look at the view. Then he might be thirsty and see a river and fly to the edge of a river to get a drink. But if people saw him flying this might cause them some distress if they saw this. However, I suppose one has to remember that "magical thinking" was much more common when 98% of the people on earth never got a formal education and the "ONLY ONES" getting educations were royalty or people in various priesthoods and brotherhoods worldwide. Because after all we are talking about people in the first millennium after Christ.

However, since today many if not most people have formal educations to at the very least 6th to 8th grade or beyond, now people's minds likely would not even see someone flying or levitating because their minds wouldn't expect it. It's a lot like drivers and motorcycles. It can be very dangerous riding a motorcycle because people's minds don't (SEE) the motorcycle because they don't expect one to be there.

Recently, in the airport in Portland, Oregon I had an experience that illustrated this. In one of the stores in the Airport a lady demonstrated a robotic flying four bladed helicopter device that is about 2 feet to three feet in diameter. So, even though hundreds of people were walking by she was flying this thing right among them. So, when foot traffic got really high she just hovered this helicopter stationary in the air at about 4 feet high, and when foot traffic was less she flew it around at an elevation of about 4 feet high. I watched the expression on the faces of people walking by and I'm not even sure people knew what they were looking at. It might as well have been an obstacle like a vertical support pole or temporary plastic fence because it didn't seem to register on  people that this was a flying object at that time. However, since all the helicopter blades were shielded inside a plastic protective covering all the people likely were safe from harm. I was just very surprised at how people reacted or more precisely (didn't react) to a flying toy vehicle among them hovering at about 4 feet off the ground.
