Sleeping and Dreaming: Brain Adaptation

When people say, "Let me sleep on it" they are really saying much more than one might think. Studies show that if you go to a new place or into a new situation that is unfamiliar, one of the best things that you can do is to go to sleep for a nap or all night. What happens then is your brain processes everything it just experienced from people, places and things and starts adapting and creating new brain pathways to deal with all aspects of everything you are presently dealing with.

The brain adapts not only by growing completely new connections and pathways between neurons but it also processes by dreaming about whatever was unclear or confusing in that particular situation in your feelings or brain. So, much or most of the lack of clarity can be rectified just by "Sleeping on it."

My son who is a nurse had to study about stuff like this while studying to be a nurse. Also, when my father in law got Strep pneumonia they used Amnesiacs on him and kept him under a type of anesthesia for 2 weeks so he didn't die in his early 80s. (He lived until 90). So, before they woke him up they gave him an amnesiac so he would forget all the drug induced dreams and hallucinations while being kept medically in a coma for 2 weeks. And it is now possible just to erase one day of memory or one week or two weeks or one month just by the dose of amnesiacs used in relation to body mass and weight.

So, medically almost anything is becoming possible worldwide. I could imagine, for example, that soldiers might be sent on secret missions now or in the future and then be given enough amnesiacs to forget what they did during that few days or weeks. So, there would be no Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ever because there would never be a conscious memory of anything they did after it was over when they are or were given amnesiacs. Not only that there could be no security leak ever because those involved just had their memories erased.

But, for most of us, unless we get abducted by aliens or are secret soldiers here on earth, none of this affects us directly other than knowing that when we sleep our brains adapt to wherever we are or whatever we are dealing with in our lives.

So, when you sleep it is almost like dying, especially when you physically travel to a new location and meet new or different people or situations. Because when you wake up you literally ARE a whole new person perceptually.

Also, I wrote about something like this in:
It is about a Time Traveling Cadre used by the U.S. Government in order to have plausible deniability after the fact each time they went on a mission and then returned to present day time.

I have a theory that when one over time or for some immediately (for very rare natures) start consciously soul traveling that new holistic and holographic wiring and brain adaptations also occur. When a person figures out that in some situations they are not just dreaming something but that they realize it is equally as real as life in the physical world is.

For example, to the original Aboriginal culture of Australia the physical world was considered the dream world and the dream world was and is considered to be the "Real World". Then when I started to meet Tibetan Lamas literally everything we experience is considered to be temporary and relatively unreal including to some degree one's own existence. And not only that there was little difference in some ways between physical reality and dream reality. So, in some senses it was all one continuum. This way of perceiving reality I found very useful.  So, this was a whole new way of viewing the universe for me. And then the extreme materialism of Western Civilization where ONLY physical things are often considered to be important within the context of multiple world views comes up as very short sighted and making people very psychologically and to some degree physically vulnerable to people who have a wider view of things. So, to someone gifted like myself and others like me worldwide, I see people who don't use their gifts but have them like people who have tied their arms and legs behind their backs and then blindfolded themselves. The real problem with this is what happens when a gifted  person who is not nice leads such a person to the edge of a cliff and then laughs? It doesn't take much for someone who can't see or feel properly to walk (accidentally) over that cliff and out of physical embodiment permanently.

I am a nice person who wouldn't do that but I come across and am aware of people both in passing or at a distance every day that I sense misuse their gifts. Though karmically this might eventually maim or kill them, until that happens they might hurt a lot of people. So, whenever I can I protect the innocents who just don't understand in any way that I can.

So, it is in your enlightened self interest to understand enough about all this to be able to protect yourself if it comes to that. And if you are further along in development then maybe like me you will become a protector of the innocents around you as well. An innocent can be a baby or 100 years old. It doesn't matter. It's all a matter of experience and understanding.
