The Strange effects of the Sequestor

Here is what I find sort of strange about all this: Even though the sequester tears up the Military and some social welfare programs etc. it also cuts from the government enough money to avoid many problems. So, as stupid as it is the way cuts are being made across the board, still necessary cuts money wise are being made just not in any wise way. But, in the end it is like person who has only so much money to buy food. Even if the things they eliminate from their diet are say steaks, milk and hot dogs, they still might buy enough bread and cheese and apples to stay alive and not break their budget. So, if you just look at the sequester like this and even though the way cuts are being made are really stupid, still, there was only so much money the government could actually spend. Without any new taxes (and the Republicans aren't having that) there is only one way to reduce the budget and that is happening even though the way it is being done is really really stupid. So, I read that 700 billion dollars in interest over the next 10 years has been eliminated by these cuts and over a 1 trillion dollars has been eliminated in government expenses also over the next 10 years which begins to bring the government budget closer to a balance of not spending more than you have coming in.
