Hyperloop?
I added more in a note form to my hyperloop comments and quotes because I realized this thing could actually work better than mag-lev trains. It just took me some time to figure out more of the details about it. The problems to be overcome are things like solar heating, heating within the tube like friction, and a drain for all the water you are going to need to cool the thing while it is moving. Also, it couldn't work in a vacuum because of the need for people to escape during a breakdown. So, if you make the drain screen the size of larger humans who will be traveling they could escape during a breakdown of the vehicle en route as long as they either had a ladder or the tube was close enough to the ground to safely jump to the ground.
