I watched the first season of Game of Thrones when it first came out a few years ago. Then when the Northern King that I was rooting for was beheaded I stopped watching in Protest because I really like him and his family. Now I'm starting up again this time in the 4th season in time to see the Geoffrey I believe it is poisoned and the Dwarf Prince put in prison for it even though he didn't do the poisoning.
Tonight I watched and started to think about just how well this thing works ongoing and also I noticed while my 18 year old daughter was up in Oregon and Washington looking at the colleges (some of them) that had accepted her there she started watching the first season for the first time too. So, I thought that was sort of interesting too.
Another series that looks sort of interesting is "Turn" which is about how spies started out during the American revolution and how they were instrumental in winning that war against the British and it also documents the British Rangers and their spies that were trying to counter the American spies as they started out.
Another unusual and interesting series so far is "Fargo" with Billy Bob Thornton playing the part of the strange thin sort of dude in the original movie. However, this is not the movie but it does contain many of the same charactors only played by different actors. So, the pilot on Fargo I found sort of interesting too.
And of course there is a series many of you have been watching for almost two years now called "Vikings" which is pretty interesting too. Blood Eagle was kind of disgusting to watch but my wife tells me (who got one of her degrees in Medievil Art and Architecture, her first bachelor's degree) that Blood Eagle was actually a real thing that Vikings did with enemies that had really pissed them off. Also, while a leader usually was being slowly killed from the back he has to endure the pain without screaming in order for him to enter Valhalla (heaven).
