If Putin Backs down likely he would be removed from power

I don't think Putin is going to back down. I think he is committed to this path to the death. That is what I think. Also, the U.S. cannot back down either. In situations like this reminiscent of World War II we cannot back down either.

So, this is a very scary situation both now and into the future. Who knew something like this was even possible during the Olympics in Russia. Everyone thought, "Wow. We haven't done something like this likely since before World War II. (the U.S. going to an Olympics on Russian soil) because of the Cold War from 1945 to 1990 or so.

So, here we are a couple of months later. What changed?

I think what changed is the puppet leader Russia had put in place in Ukraine failed at his job. But, Russia couldn't lose the ports in Crimea. So, any loss of life was useful to hold onto their warm water port. But then, they looked around and said to themselves "We also need a truck route to Crimea so we need Eastern Ukraine so we can send weapons to Syria through Eastern Ukraine through to Crimea to load onto ships to supply Assad in Syria and for world Trade.

I think this is how we got here. However, now it is personal for Russia because Europe and the U.S. are sort of rubbing the meltdown of the Soviet Union in Russia's face by stopping them from taking back all of Ukraine. (I'm not sure we are stopping them yet because the Russian Army tanks and missiles might still be moving into the Ukraine. So, it is relatively unknown what is going to happen

So, anyway you look at it I don't think Putin can afford to back down to the EU and the U.S.

So, what happens next? Hopefully whatever happens doesn't result in nukes but it might be really tricky not to have at least battlefield nukes going off soon. But, I don't think at present we are going to see major cities on earth turned to dust anytime soon. Because if one goes up likely they all will go up within 24 hours on earth. That's just they way all this would tend to work.

The single scariest thing about this whole thing is I believe Putin is willing to die to create what he wants whether it is realistic to do or not.

I don't think I'm alone in this belief.
