When Stephen Jobs started designing Apple computers his focus was the user experience. He knew most people were not techie enough for the PC and all the infinite variables. So, he simplified the user experience into the Apple and Mac Products. This is one reason why an apple product tends to be more stable than a PC. A PC was designed by Techs to do literally anything and everything which is one reason they crash and get viruses too. But, most PCs if you crash them you can eventually bring them up again. (However, you might lose whatever you were working on when they crashed).
Whereas now, with a Macbook or Imac type of product or even an Ipad product they usually don't crash and if they do you might have to take them to the Apple Store (or authorized dealer or repairer) or yourself if you just don't care about the guarantees or warantees, in order to make them work again.
So, programmers, gamers and techies prefer PCs to program, game and to build businesses with. However, specific things like Music and Art and some specific applications like photos and the like Apple products really excell in for users.
So, as times change everything I'm saying might change for example. My older daughter has a part time job putting adds in for a company for Craig's list. So, even though this is only a part time job to supplement her full time job she can actually do all this on her Iphone which sort of blows my mind of having a job and making a lot of money from home (or anywhere you have cell or wifi service on earth) and making money whenever and wherever you are on earth.
So, people say the PC is dying because of Microsoft now. I don't think that's entirely true. That's sort of like saying "Records are dying" or CDs are dying or 8 track stereos are dying. None of these are dying but it is true less people might be using these devices than before. So, I don't think the PC will ever entirely die because it will be either useful or fun for some people to use and to do all the things we have done with PCs since IBM made the first one in the early 80s and then people all made IBM clones which is what Dells and all the other ones made now are except if IBM still makes PCs which I'm not sure if they do or not anymore.
If you go to Google Images and type in "IBM PC" or "New IBM PC"you can see all or most of the PCs IBM once made there.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
