If I were to look back how the world got to this "Ebola Cliff" I would have to say the seeds of this likely go back as far as World War II or before. But, if I took it ONLY to around 2000 which might be more useful a more useful date would be 9-11.
Though overpopulation was already happening in the Middle East then and it could be said that Osama Bin Laden and 9-11 was a reaction to this overpopulation in the Middle East because the Muslim religion and birth control likely couldn't exist compatibly.
So, if we say 9-11 was a reaction to no birth control in the Middle East and we say the present problems on earth are the overreaction to 9-11 of the U.S. and European nations spending trillions in Afghanistan and Iraq to stop terrorism (unsuccessfully) and now Ebola is a further reaction to overpopulation on earth (not just in the Middle East) which is getting out of hand because of Global Climate change, overpopulation and a lack of the resources the world had before. Bernanke has told us that the causes of the Great Recession were much much worse than the causes of the Great Depression which is why jobs didn't recover right away in the U.S. and around the world.
So, the tepid response to Ebola could be said to be directly or indirectly caused by 9-11 and the trillions spent on it which caused the Great Recession which caused the "too little too late" response from the U.S. and the rest of the world to Ebola.
So, I'm thinking this is how history is going to record this in the future no matter how many or how few die in this.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
