I was pretty amazed to see that Disney died the year I graduated High School and was one year younger than I am now when he passed on.

The Wonderful World of Color of Walt Disney was one of my favorite programs. The whole family would gather around the TV to watch this series of amazing things to watch for children of all ages. I was 6 years old in 1954 when it started and we had then a black and white 17 inch TV set that was our very first TV set that my father only bought so I would stop going next door and watching TV with my friend all the time instead of staying home with my family at age 6.

By 1964 when I was 16 we had our first Color TV set. Before that Color wasn't really good enough to own a Color set. What people called Color TV was sort of like a Black and white TV with a lot of lines through it with some colors that didn't look good at all. I saw some of these. But, finally NBC got color rolling and TVs finally started to look good so we bought one for Disney Shows and the Virginian and Bonanza other other shows whose color was really great too. Then Star Trek came on TV with William Shatner and blew us all away with fantasy, Science and amazing ideas all at once. Star Trek led the way into a world where "Close Encounters of the third Kind" with Steven Spielberg and "E.T." and even Star Wars blew us all away even further with science that was engineered by actual theoretical scientists from Cal Tech and MIT and other scientific institutions of higher learning from all around the world.
