I was listening to the talk about AK-47s going from Georgia to New York City in Baggage handler carry ons in the main passenger compartment on Delta Airlines planes. I was thinking about an easy way to prevent this.
My idea would work similar to the devices you see at stores to prevent theft with little devices attached to each piece of merchandise that has to be removed before leaving the store.
In this case you want a metal detector that baggage handlers and other airport employees go through that specifically detects say something the size of a BUCK Knife with a 4.5 inch to 5 inch blade or larger. This would only trigger a device if enough metal was in any one location in a purse or backpack this way as people who worked for the airports or air lines went into work. So, people with large objects like lunch boxes and thermos' or Ipads, or laptops would have those out so they would be visible to inspectors as they went through metal detectors maybe 3 or 4 at a time.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
