The scariest thing in the world is not anything outside of oneself. Each of us is the scariest thing in the world.
Why is this?
I'm not sure I can answer that question. However, understanding that our greatest enemy is fear itself. And that fear is our greatest enemy is very important in coming to grips with this for each of us individually.
So, to me, the scariest thing about humans is when they panic for one reason or another. Individually, people can panic and this can lead to group panic. And when this happens often people die unnecessarily.
So, if we start from realizing that we ourselves are our greatest enemy we have a chance of surviving our lives.
So, how do we conquer fear?
The first way is by having compassion for ourselves.
The second way is by having compassion for others.
But, I'm not talking about idiot compassion.
I'm talking about right mindful wise efficient compassion.
By thinking in ways that compassionately keep ourselves alive and those around us
we become beacons of the present and future.
By helping those who are panicking every day in their lives in a safe way we help mankind
not to commit suicide en masse.
So, by being compassionate in a wise and efficient manner we help the whole world to prosper
and to continue in a compassionate helpful and wise way.
This is the essence of civilization and always has been and always will be.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
