Because of this it is recommended that within 2 months of appendicitis surgery that a person gets a colonoscopy to make sure their colon is okay on all levels.
So, if you have an appendicitis or a burst appendix please consider also having a colonoscopy within a couple of months.
I had a colonoscopy when I was 50 and again when I was 52. When I was 50 they found precancerous polyps and snipped them off with the colonoscopy devices. When they checked again at age 52 I was free of all polyps at that point. So, likely by the end of June or early July I will have another colonoscopy to make sure everything is okay because of my experience with a burst appendix and it's removal through a laproscopic operation at Mercy Medical in Mt. Shasta. What I found interesting was the doctor, the anesthesiologist and all the attending nurses were female at this particular operation.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
