Storm heading mostly north towards Canada right now
I'm looking at a present time radar map of the western states and it looks like Western Washington is still getting nailed by rain and snow right now. However, what I find strange is (at least for now) the storms are not really going east they are going instead mostly north into Canada. However, they said they expected the jet stream to dip south quite far during the night so I suppose almost anything could happen. I stayed in Shasta hoping to see it snow here. However, there is a little danger I will be driving through some snow north on the road on Monday to Portland. But, I have a 4 wheel drive truck with a lot of ground clearance so I should be fine. And if for some reason I don't feel it is safe enough to go all the way to Portland on Monday I can always get a hotel room before I get there. So, either way it is going to be interesting.
