What Iran and Russia are up to might be a threat to 1.2 bilion Sunnis worldwide

Obama, being a professorial intellectual understands this well. However, many people in the U.S. and Europe without a college education and therefore not well read and well studied may not understand this and this is the danger.

This exact kind of situation is sort of how the Viet Nam War, the Iraq War both got started because most people just didn't have enough good information. And I worry that this is the same problem once again without enough information to make good decisions.

Wiping out ISIS can only bring about something worse for the Middle East and Europe (IF) the rights of Sunnis in both Syria and Iraq aren't addressed first. Understanding this, what Russia and Iran are doing right now is a nightmare scenario for the whole world.

Because what are they doing?

They are killing all democratic opposition soldiers to Assad right now and they are beginning to kill ISIS soldiers too.

You might say, "Well. Isn't ending ISIS a good thing?"

Yes. But only if the rights and right to life of all Sunnis in Syria and Iraq are also guaranteed. Otherwise, this is only going to get 100 times worse.

People who have studied this issue like myself and Obama and many Military Generals and others understand this. But, most people are very simplistic and think only "ISIS has got to go no matter what!"

Actually, I also agree that ISIS has got to go no matter what!

But, if you eliminate ISIS without guaranteeing the rights to life etc. for Sunnis in Syria and Iraq this is only going to make things 100 times worse over time for both the Middle East and Europe.

It would be like setting a bomb off with a timer that you didn't know when it would explode!

Tomorrow, 1 year from now? 2 years from now? 5 years from now? or 10 years from now?

So, this is the problem. You must address the rights of Sunnis in Syria and Iraq or it's just going to get much worse than it is right now.

It's like the KGB thought this up or something it is so Machiavellian.

   But, here's the trick no one in the western world is sure of what those ends are: YET!
   
   We all who see like I have written here see the means in action. However, we don't know what exactly this is all leading to. I hope the next president understands this because otherwise we will be in another Viet Nam war, another Iraq War and I don't think at this point we could financially afford another one without a worldwide great depression as a natural result.
   
   So, this is my concern at present.
   
   And that's the problem and why Obama is presently hanging back. Because he knows what likely is coming next and we in the U.S. and Europe want to be positioned right to survive whatever comes. Because at this point whatever comes is not going to be pretty at least regarding the Middle East.
